Into the Dark Season One Reviews:
My Thoughts
I discovered
Into The Dark Season 1 through a random comment.
I saw the comment on a streaming video website.
No one I follow or know ever mentioned this show before.
I am glad that I saw that random comment.
This show was better than
The Twilight Zone (2019),
Black Mirror (Season 5), and most of
Channel Zero.
It is a shame that this show is not known by most people.
I guess it was not marketed very well.
If you get a chance, please watch this show.
At least watch my favorite episode and maybe a few others.
It deserves to be more well known.
Some episodes could have been better.
Even though males / men were often portrayed as the villains.
Each episode is essentially its own movie.
Each episode draws inspiration from a different holiday, which is a cool concept in my opinion.
I will list some of my thoughts for each episode.
The Body
This episode was a nice start to the season that was better than I had expected.

Flesh & Blood
The main actress did a good job portraying her mental disorder.
I was surprised how this episode managed to keep things watchable even with a longer run-time.

Pooka!
This episode was weird and had more potential.
But, it was disappointing and confusing.
It was one of my least favorite.

New Year, New You
The episode started boringly.
It made me wonder where they were going with it.
Yet, things picked up at the end as they escalated.
It ended in a way that made you think about how you feel about the main character.

Down
This episode had me wondering where they were going with this.
I also wondered how they were going to fill the rest of the time.
At some point, the episode started to escalate after a twist.

Treehouse
This episode had me wondering where they were going with it.
It did a good job tricking the audience.
Nonetheless, the episode had some flaws.
It did not live up to its full potential.

I’m Just F*cking With You
This episode had me wondering what would happen.
Some twists occurred, and things escalated.
It ended in a way that was unexpected but complemented the mood and theme of the episode.
It also made me wonder.

All That We Destroy
This episode surprised me.
It was more Black Mirror-like than Black Mirror (Season 5).
I liked the science fiction of this episode.
It featured some interesting futuristic technology.
This technology was blended nicely with the world in a way where it did not stand out too much.
This was one of my favorite episodes.
It was probably my favorite episode.
In my opinion, it was good enough to be released as its own movie online.

They Come Knocking
This episode was possibly the first of only two episodes to contain something paranormal or supernatural.
There were some aspects that I liked about it.
Nonetheless, it was a bit disappointing.

Culture Shock
This episode reminded me of something from the video game series
Fallout.
It joined with one or more other things that I can not specify.
The episode clearly had a message.
Spanish and English were used in this episode, making it bilingual.

School Spirit
This episode had me trying to guess what would happen.
Yet, I was able to narrow things down too early.
It was like the episode New Year, New You in the way that it ended.
This episode could have been better.

Pure
This episode started out trying to make you feel a bit unsettled.
It felt like something was not right.
At first, even the main character looked strange.
That, mixed with the environment and the situation, created its own atmosphere.
In my opinion, this episode seemed to bring together a common theme throughout most of this season.
Males / men were often portrayed as the villains.
This episode took it to the max.
It ends, implying that something major is going to happen.
A certain group is likely on the chopping block.
