Addiction. Boredom. Thinking the next one will be better. All eventually disappoint. You grow weary of not seeing any spectacular AV live action. You grow weary of the bugs and annoyances. Then you have doubts about the softwares. So you are in a perpetual state of chasing something that you will never find. Ever.
You really are a ray of sunshine :p

Recently switched from F-Secure back to ESET and am very pleased with it.
I agree, let the drama play out regarding the direction F-Secure is heading, and what they finally end up with.

I'm thinking we'll know a lot more when the v20 public release comes out.

Edit: I did get this 50% off promotion for 1st time users in my email this morning

I have several computers, on which I have Eset and Kaspersky installed. I think Kaspersky is a bit better than Eset (I've always been a fan of Kaspersky)
Kaspersky has a better behavior blocker (system watcher ) but since the war with Ukraine , ban pretty sure eset has bigger userbase now over ksn and there was a recent test eset did slightly better then Kaspersky Wich is usually very uncommon

its not that kaspersky went down they are still the king, it's eset that upped their detection and some other techs and now they can compete with Kaspersky, but still, Kaspersky is the most balanced product a user can use with a proven track record. our systems are on both eset and Kaspersky , 70% Kaspersky 30% eset. we are more satisfied with kasper.

Currently, no antivirus for one of the few times ever, just:

Ubuntu LTS with default protection (firewall enabled) & Ubuntu Pro (free) with Ubuntu & all apps kept updated, Malwarebytes Browser Guard, AdGuard DNS free default public servers on router & in Ubuntu LTS, an ad blocker (Brave Browser's built-in ad blocker or uBlock Origin or Ghostery Ad Blocker depending on which web browser I am using), router's built-in firewall, web browser security & privacy settings turned on & up to highest or near highest settings, only install apps when necessary, and common sense.

Android & Google account with default protection turned on & up to the highest or near highest settings with Android & apps kept updated, AdGuard DNS default public servers, Brave Browser & Mozilla Firefox with uBlock Origin, only install apps when necessary, and common sense.

Banned from Kaspersky- It was the best for me- only program I felt safe using it alone-now Cyberblock or Appguard with anything else

I got an email from Kaspersky recently offering me Kaspersky Plus for only $8 for one year.

I could not resist the offer, so I took it.:)
They had one of the highest discount on their products in black Friday. What they did in some countries was selling anti-virus and total security line for a heavy discount(their old product line). So for example if you add anti-virus license to your my.Kaspersky you get Kaspersky standard(new product line)

I know many people who used black Friday to get Kaspersky. It was a normal tactic, they lost US but going to gain the market of other countries. You will see more heavy discount on Kaspersky from now for , Some of my friends changed to it.
