hello brother. personally I use on 3 apps : wisecare 365 , kerish doctor and privazer , the only 3 I trust ( except for the registry cleaners ofcourse ;) ) I do also own a lifetime key for winutilities but it's not that great.
Are Registry Cleaners safe? I read somewhere that Windows Registry should not be cleaned or defragmented as it may lead to serious errors.

If everything is working fine, you shouldnt. And if you really have to do something with registry, you should always do it manually with knowledge

Kerish does clean out the registry when doing a full scan , it does this via heuristics that are totally safe to use. Ccleaner also has a safe to use regcleaner , but after the spying debacle after avast's take over I do not recommend this program anymore

Wisecare here from many years ago. (y)

I used to use Glary Utilities too, but now I don't trust this product too much after a bad experience.

However, Wisecare has always done its job well and it is very easy to get a giveaway from this product.

I dont trust automaters since long time,
faster or later will delete priority files and harm your system which you ofc not notice 1st time but with time system will be worst and worst performance/stability.

I use soft to manual find changes and other unwarted files to delete if need.
IMO shadow defender mostly work 24/7 so i hold my system in virgin status.

SysTracer, WinDirStat, Autoruns, Disk Pulse

People that don't want Kerish to clean the registry I would recommend doing a custom scan instead. That way they can choose what Kerish will scan. In addition, after a scan is complete you can manually exclude specific objects if one feels they shouldn't be touch.

The webpage says that, but do you believe it?
I do not have to believe it, over the years, cleaning registry helped me to solve quite a few problems. I even turn off PC with deep cleaning.

Defragmenting is perfectly safe, it is the same like defragmenting HDD, it merely removes free spaces and it might speed up startup a bit.

No matter how many hundreds or even thousands of errors a registry cleaner will find, at least 99% of the time, deleting these registry keys, will not speed up your computer, or fix any problems. To make matters worse, just about every registry cleaner ever written, has issues with false positives, which means they may want to delete some needed registry keys and understandably, doing so can cause problems. Even the registry cleaner in CCleaner, which is widely regarded as being safe, has minor issues with false positives, so it should be used with care.

Here are some examples of registry cleaners that are safe to use. Almost all other registry cleaners have issues with false positives.

Auslogics Registry Cleaner - It's safe to enable all scan categories, except for Missing Software.
Kerish Doctor
Vit Registry Fix - If you disable Deep scan.
Advanced SystemCare - Don't enable Deep Clean.
AVG PC TuneUp/TuneUp Utilities

As I've already stated, you probably won't get much benefit from using them. But at least, it should be extremely rare, for them to delete any needed registry keys.
Note that despite often being recommended, the registry cleaners in Wise Care 365/Wise Registry Cleaner and Glary Utilities have minor issues with false positives.

It is safe to defrag the registry.
