Both window 7 & 8 but i wouldn't recommended u to try there beta since many users reports it's heavy & kinda buggy. Is that on a Windows 7 system?
Don't think so, ESET HIPS gets 220/340 in my clt leak test in default & in tweak settings ( firewall) & i saw in some test where private/outpost firewall & some other HIPS firewall get 200+ in leak test & some malware able to penetrate there HIPS.Whereas by providing the great customization in HIPS a advanced user can protect himself greatly, really if you are an advanced user configure HIPS & see no Virus would be able to penetrate ESET HIPS.
U don't need to enable MCshield or any USB security product unless u stick USB sticks in ur ports all time . Just open MCShield & then stick ur pen drive & after job finished, close MCShield completely, plus try to check update for MCShield daily once a time. and imao u don't need any 'anti-executable' since they don't know wut program u clicking, they will just ask ur opinion is it safe or not, they r totally user dependent, so if a noob click allow & white list it then he/she will compromised his/her PC. I know vooodooshield gave a option to scan file with VT serach but u can do it with free tool like VT uploader. since u have safe surfing/downloading habit along with safe computing habit then u don't need any HIPS or any anti-executable. If u don't want any AV then enable ur default window built AV , u can scan ur usb stick with ur AV since MCShield not catch all type of malware,, don't always depend on anti-executable/HIPS/url filter or even ur commonsense since a human do mistake , it our habitWell I am thinking of not using an AV at all! I'll just use a powerful HIPS or anti-exec... plus web filter and MCShield.
Many people stick their flashdrives on my system. VoodooShield is great with its "default-deny" strategy. Default Av which is Windows Defender isn't good because it lags my system when opening folder of executables. Well it will leave me to ESET vs. no AV... either way, I'm protected! MCShield has never failed to catch a malware... it has deleted over 300...U don't need to enable MCshield or any USB security product unless u stick USB sticks in ur ports all time . Yes coz MCShield is specially made for USB to catch malwares which AV vendor missed but it won't help u if any ransomware, rootki/bootkit/keylogger or any trojan are inside ur USB stick, so u still need a AV to scan ur USB. since MCShield detect over 300 infection in ur USB sticks, it's better to add some few tools which will disable autorun.inf in ur USB drive so when u stick ur pendrive in a infected machine, it won't get infected via autorun or u can write protect ur usb sticks, disable autorun in ur system & can use ratool to deny access or deny write access for usb sticks . btw, it's better to never stick pen drive in a infected machine/unknown/insecure machine. btw, i have a netbook too & window defender not slowing down anything plus online armor free gives same level of protection as any anti-executable, no need to waste money if u have better control over urself. Anyways if it's ur choice then u go brahMany people stick their flashdrives on my system. VoodooShield is great with its "default-deny" strategy.
