And I would probably be more concerned with a Kape VPN, as far as finding unbiased online reviews who aren't associated with them, other than the real world use and feedback by the forum members here. Just my opinion, FWIW :)

edit: added "online" as in website reviews.

Actually, the sole fact in life is death; anything else is relative; what is evidence-proved to be a fact today, can be evidence-disclaimed tomorrow.

Offer you point of view and its justifications; only argue if you can feel some members cannot get your point and are in need of elaboration.

And the most important thing, if you cannot make friends, at least try not to make enemies.

Whether PIA is more bad or less secure compared to other VPNs I can't say, but I've previously had PIA for 11 years on 3 computers that were up and running every day operated by me, my wife and daughter. We've never had a problem with PIA, but switched to Proton VPN to see how it compares to PIA, and I got Proton just as cheap for a 2 year subscription. Both do the job, the speed is almost equal.

@simmerskool, I like AirVPN. It's very good. Unfortunately, the people that run it don't like me and the questions I raised in the forum. Eddie, the AirVPN client, is BY FAR my favorite client. It has some features I've not seen elsewhere; like the ability to name a persistent adapter and the ability to force all adapters to use a configures DNS server. Both AirVPN and Proton are solid. But, if you can wait until black friday, AirVPN always offers good discounts

Well since you quoted my post, calling me back in here that's kind of a duh isn't it 🤔

I already stated which ones I normally recommend it's how all this started although you wouldn't know you just jumped in with the gang up mentality because it literally is about all I see you contribute to this place.
:ROFLMAO: and you joined 01 July 2025 (3 days ago) and know everything about MT & its users... IIRC one of your early posts seemed positive about PIA (perhaps Nord too) I used them both but too long ago to have a current recommendation one way or the other.

FYI, it's kinda nerdy. But its configurability is unmatched.
yeah got it, kinda nerdy should work for me, factoid -- it is working for me, although probably don't have all the settings optimally tweaked, yet. Tad slow compared to some, ie, 78 mbps down. It will take a little while for me to figure out if i like it, and how if so, how much. Did not care for all the personal data they wanted to create an account, whereas Mullvad, eg, is somewhere between pseudoanonymous and fully anonymous, so for a privacy oriented .org that's unexpected, imo -- but take that back perhaps not so if I had paid with Monero. It connected right up despite all the offers of "if you need help..." you see on its website and email they sent me...

PM me if needed.

I do not believe so, no. That would be impossible for ISPs to regulate. I believe the best you can do is get a VPN with a dedicated IP. Read this. There are others, I'm sure. But this will get you started.
