I'm currently using Azire VPN and it's very similar to mullvad i notice no difference in the speeds between the 2 very happy. Malwarebytes seems to be really the only security product with a quality VPN that never really disconnects.
I do not have experience with Azire VPN however, I know that Malwarebytes VPN is actually based on Mullvad. Malwarebyte is using the Mullvad's infrastructure for their VPN.

Just added for voting to the Poll: ProtonVPN

Which others VPN should be added as well?
I want to correct my previous post about Proton VPN purchased version. After using this for 8 months now, we are experiencing that Proton will not open certain pages such as, regular articles in a newspaper or other pages I want to access.
I have spoken to Proton about this, and they will have their team find the error in Proton. I sent them a Norwegian newspaper article that did not open in Norway, not in Denmark but in Sweden. When I turned off Proton everything worked. Proton only discovered this when they tried the same thing as me. So now I am back to another VPN until Proton is fixed.

This s just my opinion only, I tried FastestVPN some years ago & IMHO it was by far the worst one I ever tried, it does seem they have redeemed themselves from a mail from them a while back? Maybe others know different, a friend got a lifetime for OysterVPN from StackSocial a few weeks ago & that's not bad he says??

If possible try before you buy.

Any VPN that sales a lifetime subscription is not worth getting and is extremely suspect.
True but people are split into 2 categories I believe, one knows and researches the best VPN and pays for it knowing they made the right choice with regards to support and privacy, the other pays the cheapest possible amount and is on a tight budget and doesn't care much about privacy or support it's just cheapest possible outcome.

However there should be no excuse with Black Friday/Cyber Monday coming up, you can get one of the best VPNs for cheaper i.e Proton or AirVPN for much less.

I agree, though they have their uses, such as just for torrenting. I've used FastestVPN on a dedicated machine for that for over 5 years, and I think I paid around $20 for their unlimited.

Others are just scams, like SlickVPN. I bought their lifetime subscription, and then it stopped working and sent many requests and they ignored me.

SlickVPN was a rebrand of OctaneVPN. This is from an email they sent me last year.
We have made the decision to close OctaneVPN.com on June 30, 2025, in a little more than a year. When we started this business back in 2012, the VPN landscape was quite different and choices were limited as to both scale and type of networks that offered the features we wanted ourselves. The world is different now, with the VPN industry dominated by a few large players that generally provide good products. Yes, we have a niche market and our smaller size keeps us off many IP blocking lists. However, we have moved on to other projects and our commitment to updating and growing OV has waned. Based on time constraints, we do not feel we can serve you at the proper level and have decided to close rather than provide substandard service. We will shut down in an orderly fashion so that we can provide service through your paid service period.

I haven't reread the entire thread but I've used small VPN's in the past such as OVPN, which has one UK server & a limited amount of IP's when the IP they gave me got blacklisted (by BBC etc.) there wasn't much they could do, one server means if it has issues & it did you are either slow or off, development on Windows stopped - Small VPN's neither have the cash or the will to change much, same with FireTrust HideAway, although good, gave promises of improvements five years or so ago yet to appear. As I remember OVPN was bought by Pango which wasn't a good thing but not so sure about that??
You get what you pay for I feel, I pay for just about the fastest speed on net within reason & as I use a VPN 99% of the time using a VPN that runs slow IMO is pointless - Choices :)
