I'm using Chrome as my primary browser for it's speed, Sanboxing feature, Synchronize history, bookmarks and settings across all devices, toggle between multiple User Profiles, Chrome extensions, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and more. My secondary browser is Firefox & planning to install Opera on my system but confused as I've heard many bad things about Opera. Which are you using & why ?

I primarily use Firefox due to its commitment to user privacy and security. It's open-source, has a built-in tracker blocker, and doesn't collect your data. I also appreciate its customization options. As for Opera, it's a decent browser with a free VPN and ad-blocker, but some users have raised concerns about its ownership. It's always good to research and choose what suits your needs best.

You are using Firefox ?? OMG :eek::oops::rolleyes:

Okay boss, and why ??

- Light on resources
- Well secured for me (and no 800 Google things wanting to see what I'm doing on the Internet :D )
- AdBlock directly on the browser
- Founded by a Mozilla veteran before the browser went all over the place :) ( Brendan Eich )

I also liked OperaGX, which is very well suited to gamers with all-in-one platforms like WhatsApp, X, music etc., but I don't like to have all my eggs in one basket :)

Yep :)
By default, it's secure too.
You can also tweet it, we talked about it on the forum but I can't remember where :/ (on the other hand, I don't find Opera's AdBlock as good as Brave's, strangely enough).

This thread also has some browser insights that you may find helpful :)

I'm using Chrome for pretty much the same reasons you stated in your opening thread, including the Reading list sync between devices.
Many AV doesn't support Brave or Vivaldi as secure browser or safe banking feature.

Good point, as that was the case with F-Secure's banking protection, but since Brave is Chromium based, it's browsing protection at least worked, but without search icons. The same thing with safe search web icons not working in being a part of browser protection feature.

For example, ESET Safe Banking & Browsing is supported by the following browsers: Internet Explorer 8.0.0.0+, Microsoft Edge 83.0.0.0+, Google Chrome 64.0.0.0+, and Firefox 24.0.0.0+ & the following web browsers are supported by ESET Secure Browser: Internet Explorer 8.0.0.0 or later, Microsoft Edge 83.0.0.0 or later, Google Chrome 64.0.0.0 or later, and Firefox 24.0.0.0 or later.

Vivaldi is also Chromium based.

That usually seems to be the case, doesn't it, Chrome, Edge, FF and Safari, are the supported browsers by most AV companies.

So Brave is better than Vivaldi ?

I'm not sure if it's better, it can just be a preference, settings thing. But with Brave, you can set it to block ads without using a ad blocker, it does a nice job on it's own. It also has some nice privacy options as well, as far as fingerprinting etc.

Here is a nice thread regarding Brave that you probably already knew about :)
