In Android 10, you can choose to allow an app to only access your location when you're using the app.

You can let apps use your phone’s location to take actions for you or give you information. For example, apps can use your phone's location to display commute traffic or find nearby restaurants.

• Allow all the time: The app can use your location at any time.
• Allow only while using the app: The app can use your location only when you're using that app.
• Deny: The app can never use your location, even when you’re using the app.

On my Redmi Note 4X, which is running a custom version of Xiaomi's MIUI 12, based on Android 9, I get the following options when an app requires location access.

I turn off location all apps so when i use like uber i turn on, its weird that the people use location is on and access all apps 24/7 and leave it like they dont know about technology they dont read tech things on the news sad

Users just need to step up and control their crappy apps.

Their is nothing wrong with GPS and the location can get by IP address too. Same with Bluetooth and WiFi - even if turned off (if the setting for using it as location isn't disabled).
