I could really use some help with two programs.

One is the pop up tab in chrome with a female voice stating that iam infected call this number or go to this site. Except that it totally blocks me from closing anything. So I have to open task manager to shut down chrome. This one has been around for a month.

The second program started today. it is an ADD banner that is now showing up everywhere I go online, even my banking site. I followed all the steps in "malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-shopping-assistant" including using the ZOEK part. Nothing can find this program to delete it.

I wish I knew where downloaded it from but i have no clue. i am usually very careful what sites i visit and what i download. In years and years of Win 7 or 8.1 nothing...now I have Win 10 and i have 2.

If you require more information please let me know.

Thank you.

Hello,

They call me TwinHeadedEagle around here, and I'll be working with you.

Before we start please read and note the following:
  • At the top of your post, please click on the "Watch thread" button and make sure to check Watch this thread...and receive email notifications. This will send an email to you as soon as I reply to your topic, allowing me to solve your problem faster.
  • Please do not install any new software during the cleaning process other than the tools I provide for you. This can hinder the cleaning process. Please do not perform System Restore or any other restore.
  • Instructions I give to you are very simple and made for complete beginner to follow. That's why you need to read through my instructions carefully and completely before executing them.
  • Please do not run any tools other than the ones I ask you to, when I ask you to. Some of these tools can be very dangerous if used improperly. Also, if you use a tool that I have not requested you use, it can cause false positives, thereby delaying the complete cleaning of your machine.
  • All tools we use here are completely clean and do not contain any malware. If your antivirus detects them as malicious, please disable your antivirus and then continue.
  • If during the process you run across anything that is not in my instructions, please stop and ask. If any tool is running too much time (few hours), please stop and inform me.
  • I visit forum several times at day, making sure to respond to everyone's topic as fast as possible. But bear in mind that I have private life like everyone and I cannot be here 24/7. So please be patient with me. Also, some infections require less, and some more time to be removed completely, so bear this in mind and be patient.
  • Please stay with me until the end of all steps and procedures and I declare your system clean. Just because there is a lack of symptoms does not indicate a clean machine. If you solved your problem yourself, set aside two minutes to let me know.
  • Please attach all report using
    fjqb1h.png
button below. Doing this, you make it easier for me to analyze and fix your problem.

  • Do not ask for help for your business PC. Companies are making revenue via computers, so it is good thing to pay for the repair.
  • If I don't hear from you within 3 days from this initial or any subsequent post, then this thread will be closed.

I have not gotten the "your computer is at risk issue" but the Brought to you by Shopping Deals still pops up on certain webpages. Like my banking one and netflix and a few others. This one is two banners one on top and one on the bottom, showing me shopping deals from all over. I read up on it and how to remove it but nothing worked.

Weird that AWDcleaner might have gotten the other one this time, but didnt the day before. As I typed this the banners popped up here.

So as I was going to Netflix to make it pop up the other one i thought was gone popped up also. It locked me out and I had to take pics of them, since screen capture would not work. Here is both of them attached.

one is a blue screen that has a female voice telling me i have been infected. It locks my computer up and I have to open task manager to exit the internet.

The other pops up all over the place it is two banners one on top and another at the bottom...with sale items.

Both of these litterally popped up after I saw your email to get a pic.

My apologies, I only use google chrome, never used Explorer or Firefox on this PC. From what I have seen on many forum posts regarding this infection...I seem to think Firefox may be my best bet.

Would you like me to delete chrome and venture to Firefox?

Thank you again for your time.

Will do so now.

Is there a way to remove chrome 110% from comp?

I know there are usually files here and there even after a proper uninstall.

Yes, there is:

Close all Chrome windows and tabs.
Go to the Start menu > Control Panel.
Click Programs and Features.
Double-click Google Chrome.
Click Uninstall from the confirmation dialog. Delete your user profile information, like your browser preferences, bookmarks, and history, select the "Also delete your browsing data" checkbox.

Click Start, copy in search %LOCALAPPDATA%\ and remove folder Google

Download Chrome
Chrome Browser

Ok Deleted Chrome and all files associated with it.

Fresh Install and checked multiple tabs that would pop the ads and other viruses...nothing so far.
