The problem was fixed in v1.19.

I just tried the new version. On the whole I like it a lot, but I do have some suggestions. Have cleaning of prefetch data disabled by default, as this is something that there usually is no need to clean it. The registry cleaner has issues with false positives. Here are two examples.

Clean 1.png

Clean 2.png

Clean 3.png

As you can see, the referenced file does exist.

Clean 4.png

In this case, the registry cleaner things it is a false positives because of the semicolon after WindowsApps. But the WindowsApps folder does exist. It would be great if the registry cleaner showed the path of any found errors. Also it would be helpful if there was the option to click on a found error and have the option to view the registry key in regedit.

Your suggestions have been noted and will be implemented in the next version. Thank you! Additionally, the issues in the registry cleaner will be addressed.

I appreciate your generosity in taking the feedback into account. I will provide feedback as I continue to use the program. Happy that dark mode is already incorporated in the program 👍
Thank you for your feedback.

Additionally, you may develop the database independently and commit changes to GitHub. This approach enables the community to contribute, resulting in a larger and more comprehensive database.

I have released a new version of Multron Win Cleaner. I’ve added the features you asked for. I removed the registry cleaner because it wasn’t safe. Prefetch is now disabled by default. There are some issues with the updater — the program doesn’t update properly, so I’m sharing the link to the new version here. I apologize for the inconvenience, and I’ll fix it in the next release. If there’s anything else you’d like, feel free to let me know, and I’ll add it in the next update.

Hi, when I execute the latest version 1.20 beta i get this error and program quits after I press ok to accept the message: "any database file not found. Program closing" And a blue message under scan that says "an attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions. (api.github.com:443)

The program needs to download the latest version database. Normally, there is an internet access problem or it may be blocked by the firewall. Did you check it somehow? By the way, I sorry for the problem.I think I need to remove automatic updates. If the firewall is not blocking it and the program is accessible, it means it is not working for some people.

If you'd like to use it offline, you can download the database.txt file from here Release database 1.8.1 · winball501/MultronWcleaner-Database

Could you give a bit more detail about which part this happens in?

I’m checking.

Okay, I noticed the issue and I’m fixing it. I created a .txt file inside the temp folder, did 'unselect all' and selected only that one, but it still cleaned the other parts as well. I’ll fix this now, thanks.

I detected and fixed some problems too and your problem is fixed. I apologize for the issue. I hope you haven’t lost any important files. I wasn’t aware there was an issue because I usually run my software directly and clear whatever is selected. I didn’t anticipate this problem, and I apologize. Thank you for your feedback.
