I tried Brave and it felt as fast as Firefox, but the UI for the latter is more customizable. I've also been using Adguard for Desktop to block ads in Ferdium, so I can do without internal adblockers in browsers.

Till when would Brave support Windows 8.1?

Yes, kind of hope that a timeframe would be provided before they renounce support, since the claimed BAT would become useless as the wallet partners aren’t currently supporting my region. Waiting for @Mattches and @sampson replies.

You'll need to switch browsers if you want one that's updated and secure. I believe Edge supports Windows 7 +. Don't know about FF.

My guess as Microsoft soon doesn't support anymore Windows 8.1 it's likely same the case for Edge, but I haven't read an official statement

Brave is testing a Quick Commands feature​

Quick Commands is not enabled by default in Brave, but the feature is available in all versions of the browser, including Stable. Since it is a Chromium feature, it may also be available in other Chromium-based browsers.

Here is how to enable it in Brave:

1. Load chrome://flags/#quick-commands in the address bar of the Brave browser.
2. Set the Quick Commands feature to Enabled using the menu on the right.
3. Restart Brave Browser.
