New Update DefenderUI by VoodooShield - Turn on Hidden Security Features of Microsoft Defender

Is Defender UI just a better GUI for Microsoft Defender, or it will enhance the level of its protection (with the recommended sittings)?

I have not seen DefenderUI recommended profile cause "false positives/annoyance"...? This is the first I have heard of this. :unsure:
It stops Word from opening a PDF after you just saved it. It stops some legit installers from running. The Ransomware folder protection literally blocks everything.

@Templarware have you mentioned this to @danb in support email. I suspect he would try to duplicate and make improvements as long as they are secure.

The recommended profile does not activate ransomware protection for me. Did you activate the protection yourself? If it bothers you, just deactivate it again.
Ok but it's just one thing. Even without Ransomware, that really should be enabled if your using Defender, it still blocks some installers without even giving you an option to allow.

@danb
Can you include this settings in defenderUI?

Or this, at least the ones releated with real time protection

Thank you for mentioning this... we will be including every possible feature in DefenderUI. Well, within reason ;).

If you find what setting is slowing your system down please let me know, thank you!

Hey Guys!

Here are the latest versions of our software. There were several minor changes and they should be perfectly stable. We will release these new versions to the public in about a week.

The only thing to watch out for is that there might be a couple of extra command line blocks, and if there are please let me know.

Thank you guys!

OK, I have some questions.

1: I know DefenderUI is free to use, but is WDAC Lockdown also free? Or is that only until some a near future date, because it is new software?

2: Despite the possible answer for WDAC Lockdown, I did instal it as well, and for the next few days I will keep it in learning mode. During training mode, I assume I should not change any setting? Also, once I have used training mode a few days, and I set it to enforced, will that set everything up? Or should I set some things manually after that.
