You mean the installers? AVG installer is around 2 MBs in size so I doubt it has any virus signatures included.

Taskbar Plus and Bottleneck (danb) were submitted by LiveGuard when I was using Premium, but those were probably newer files that Eset/LiveGuard wasn't aware of?
The AVG installer is new. Just a few days old so I'm giving Eset a pass on that. But the Ikarus file and Xvirus were few months old and it should be cleared even from LiveGrid reputation but it's not.
Look @ the stacksocial ESET for a cheaper deal, it says ESET Home Essential but it installs ESET Internet Security not NOD32 to my surprise.

Sorry, sounds like I'm promoting this deal but I haven't found anything this cheap. I'm not sure where the seller gets the keys from but it activates fine.

Just in case there are any issues with the license, because who knows how legit or where they get the keys from. So far it's fine so I'll give it a pass.
I'm not totally sure but I think it depends on certain market that Eset IS=Home Security.
Yeah it's changed from previous deal where you got NOD32, no issues just surprised since Internet Security used to be middle tier now it's bottom I guess?

Thank you for that heads up, at that price I could afford to get a single key to have on hand. And I'm not in dire need of Premium with LiveGuard or the VPN, as I still have Proton VPN paid through later next year.
I've had LiveGuard insist on analyzing seemingly every one of the huge number of files being decompressed by the installer for Laragon, an open source web development environment with a lot of users.
It's a neat idea, but considering how much I scrutinize files on my own anyway, increasingly I feel like I could thrive without it.
Were you able to add it to Eset Home and verify ownership?
I hear you. I feel the same with Liveguard, can live without it. Livegrid should be enough for me.

There is a half-year subscription for Mcafee, and a one-year subscription for Bitdefender.

I just have McAfee on a laptop, and reinstalled F-Secure on the other laptop and have it on my phone. I rarely use my phone for anything but for phone calls, taking some photos and some texts. I am not a phone power user.
Between the two you mentioned, consider what protection features may be the most useful for you. For a PC, I won't use Bitdefender, to glitchy and overengineered IMO, and not as stable as McAfee.
And on an Android phone, Bitdefender is a good choice?
Detection rate is good for Bitdefender.
However, it uses a lot of RAM:500 MB.
Sometimes even higher than that:900 MB.
For me, phishing protection is important while browsing.
This is why I would use an app like this on my phone.
By the way, I use private DNS with filters:Chrome,NextDNS.

Contacted Eset support and they confirmed the key is legit. I was able to register it under my email and they key was successfully added to Eset Home.
I just got a 1yr 1pc license for home security essential for 12USD via stacksocial im quite happy
