How the heck do you get Ghostery to update on Firefox, Windows 11. I cannot get it to update, automatically or manually, to save my life!
Thanks, Acadia
Same for me as Firefox user, it's always some versions behind Chromium-based browsers...
Just my speculation, that might be for the reason that Firefox does still support MV2 browser addons,
or more likely Mozilla (AMO) doesn't allow for some reason latest Ghostery updates 🤷‍♂️

I have been running Ghostery for a few weeks instead of ubo and no issues, but chatGPT said there had been some security / privacy issues with Ghostery in the past. Any credence to that and if so what's current status?

No. Right now it looks like a good alternative MV3 extension. Adguard seems to have a lot of bugs. And it's Russian ... ;)

Forget AI answers, unless your question is very, very basic.

no updates found in firefox (linux) still running 10.4.3
Yes correct, same here in my Firefox on Linux and Windows. The reason @Acadia mentioned in post #111
I contacted Ghostery support, this is what they replied:

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out to Ghostery!
Apologies for this, Ghostery is pending review with Mozilla, we're stuck at v10.4.3 on Firefox. Other browsers are at v10.4.7 or v10.4.8.
Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

Here for any further questions!
Best,
Ghostery Support
