The only way to fight or confirm impressions or hearsay is by factual data. Therefore I am asking forum members using a Chromium based browser (.e.g Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi, Woolyss Chromium, Ungoogled, etc) to post when they receive an update which contains the security updates of Google's Chrome's latest.

To kick off with latest thread from MalwareTips Bot

May 20, 2020 Google Chrome 83.0.4103.61 has been released

When you use a different Chromium based browser please post when you received this update also

P.S.
For data gathering one confirmation per browser would be sufficient. When the mods also think this information ads value to the Browsers & Extension forum section, please make it a sticky. When this thread becomes a sticky (and members keep this a clean thread, with limited off topic posts) I promise to collect the data and publish it in a spreadsheets to monitor the update delay of different Chromium variants.

Sorry after moving to our new housevwe took the opportunitu to go on an 1.5 week holiday in Normandy france, combining hiking with sight seeing and history lessons. Will update when i get back

PS it was @Gandalf_The_Grey who told me to take a brake, so I suggested this trip to my girl friend.

i don't think chromium browsers do follow google chromes updates, they follow chromiums updates, as does google. google chrome is from the chromium project, so wouldn't this be better to compare to when the project releases their newest update. seeing as google then takes that update, and makes it into their browser. how fast does google take to update their browser from the newest chromium release? it is now possible that edge might utilize the newest chromium release faster than google.

@Lenny_Fox

I use it on my "throwaway" phone (only used for media and games). DDG browser does the job well for a barebones browser and I like how it auto clears inactive tabs after a set amount of time. However, there isn't much in regards to ad blocking.

I frequently switch between the DDG browser and Firefox for Android (with uBlock Origin).

Color coded to get a better picture. Feel free to correct me and please keep posting the updates of your favorite chromium based browser.

For now Edge leads the fast four (1 Edge, 2 Woolyss Chromium, 3 Woolyss Ungoogled, 4 Brave), Vivaldi just behind and Opera and Yandex worryingly lagging update cycles.

I promised to track this for at least three 6-week Chrome release cycles, so after version 85, I will upload/add the spreadsheet as csv text file (txt) to this thread, so anyone wanting to continue this update tracker can take it over.
