I don't need Firefox anymore.
I used to open it only to update it or to check something, but less and less often.
Uninstalled.

Now I only have Brave installed, with these 3 extensions always enabled:

  1. uBlock Origin
  2. API Void Script Stop
  3. Download Sentinel
I calculated that replacing uBo with uBS increases performance on my PC by 9.6% in the Speedometer 3.1 test.

Brave:

  1. uBlock Origin
  2. API Void Script Stop
  3. 3P Matrix - content firewall - Level 2 - (Quad9 + ControlD) - (False Positive Reduction: Low) *** new ***

For now, I've enabled only these four security measures:

  • 3 Block alert/confirm/prompt popup scams
  • 8 Block ClickFix-style clipboard hijacking scams
  • 11 Warn when opening a site that looks suspicious
  • 12 Warn when a downloaded file looks risky

Ok apparently - NOOOO!

I am using BDTS on firefox does that mean I get web sage premium?

Yes, your Bitdefender Total Security (BDTS) subscription does include Web Sage Premium at no extra cost. However, you currently cannot use it on Firefox

How come UBO in Brave, doesn't Brave shields block all ads?

Hi,:)

the primary purpose of uBo + API Void Script Stop is to perform dynamic filtering on a range of websites I have selected (9 TLDs).

uBo handles all websites outside of these 9 TLDs.
API Void Script Stop handles all websites within those 9 TLDs.

This task, dynamic filtering of all websites,is carried out in different ways:

uBo = Hard Mode + 1p Script
SS = (Medium Mode + whitelist) + 1p frame

It is impossible to perform this with Brave Ad-Shields.

P.S.

A few forum members have told me that this kind of dynamic filtering is difficult to manage.
But I've been used to it ever since the days of XP, when I used NoScript + uBo at the same time, so for me it's a piece of cake.

What's the reasoning for having both the API Void SS & the 3P Matrix? If i'm not wrong they do pretty much the same job.

I use 3P-matrix for its new download protection.
I also considered Google’s recent statement regarding Enhanced Protection, which, according to them, provides 10 times better protection than Standard Protection.

However, that protection isn’t available in Brave.:(

But by selecting certain options in 3P Matrix -consent firewall , I believe it’s identical (or similar) to Chrome Enhanced Protection .

So it’s like having both Download Sentinel + Chrome Extended Protection ( on Brave) in the same extension.

In my case, when browsing with Brave, I use Shields alongside uBlock Origin (MV2) and AdGuard. As long as Brave continues to support these extensions, I’ll keep taking advantage of this option.

In AdGuard, I only have the “Ad Blocking” and “Annoyances” categories enabled.

Brave Shields works very well on its own, but on some of the sites I visit, especially those that are particularly aggressive with pop-ups, I’ve found that this combination helps prevent virtually all unwanted pop-ups.

That’s why I prefer to keep using both extensions alongside Brave’s built-in protections. 🦁🛡️

Not many, I remember when Firefox first hit the scene when i was in High School and everyone switched to that on our schools laptops. I had quite a few extensions
most of them just things a kid would find cool lol 600% sound volume is because im hard of hearing out of one of my ears due to medical issues as a baby
