Advice Request I cannot install Trend Micro Maximum Security

Hello,
Today I decided to try again Trend Micro Maximum Security, but the installation fails with the error message: "interrupted-reason_Instal12"
I have tried to run the "uninstall tool" and the "permission tool".

Have you tried to use Trend Micro Remnant File Remover Tool (available at: How to Remove Old Trend Micro Security Files on Windows PC).

Are the following Windows services active?

• Base Filtering Engine
• Cryptographic Services

Install.12 is an installation that extracts the files but does not install them. The first thing to check would be permissions as far as right clicking the installer and running it as administrator.

After trying again and again without success I decided to leave.
I will probably try again in the future...

Have you tried to back everything up and perform a clean install of windows? Also TrendMicro support may be able to help you. They do have a live support Channell.
