Advice Request Is Emsisoft really that good?

4-he has basic knowledge on Emsi products

everyone once had a basic knowledge about any products ! right?

He his a average+ user that like to play with malwares, then sometimes his machine get infected (obviously) , and then want immediate response from Emsisoft because he paid for it.

I disagree. You can completely lock-down system with some KIS tweaks and using "Trusted Application Mode" but stockpiling security software would just make your system more vulnerable and unstable if configured inappropriately.

True, but I think having a whole security config is better. Let me explain; while you can put your computer on lockdown with KIS, Comodo still has a better firewall and KIS does not do what HMPA does. Trusted Application Mode can only act as VS, which only replaces one of the many programs I use for security. IMO VS is the best anti exe and doesn't require to have a complete lockdown while still maintaining near bulletproof security. Having all the programs I use vs KIS offers more features. But that's why I said KIS is one of the best single program solutions if you do not want to do what I am doing. Thanks for your opinion nonetheless! It's good to exchange ideas and knowledge

Edit: Forgot to mention the extra features Comodo provides such as AS and HIPS

not at all , i wanted to understand why your are so focused on Emsi support, now i know.
However i find quite annoying that someone who get infected by malware because playing with them, harass the support team when they could focus on other users with legit issues...
and when you got a fast response , you keep bashing them... did you ever consider that they may know you are playing with malwares and then maybe you are not a priority user?

Three PCs and these three programs including support

years means nothing here in this industry. a 14 years old guy can hack a system which is secured by a 45 years old guy simply nowadays. maybe you don't know enough consider your age.

AhnLab is nothing, and Emsisoft have not enough experience in this industry, they just should not collect personal data, but still needs to collect some data ( no personal ) i hope they know that

so you are a knowledgable man in these terms, and i'm testing/analysing Companies Customer Services and Privacy terms about 3 years. i did read even oldest documents about them you may never seen before. this is normal, every guy will go in a diffrent way and become a professional in that. and this was my interest, to do research about Companies history, their bad/good history of cours, what are thei hiding what is their slogan and how is their customer services i'm sure you'll underestand

They will certainly be underestimated

and removing capabilities of Classic AVs doesn't guarantee you that your system is really cured; you have to use complex forensic tools that will take hours to check all potential infected areas. I rather format and install/restore a clean system.

Indeed curing manually a system will be too long , not saying i won' t let anyone do whatever they want on my system ! and surely not a support guy which have no clues on how my system is set.
Just look in various forums , at all those amateurs using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, Combofix , or whatever tools .... after lot of sweat , they all ended up smashing their system, corrupting/removing critical system files and what they do after? then just reformat lol !!!
Curing take hours while a format + restore take around 15mn to get a clean system. do the math, answer is unavoidable , format always win.

Then you will point : "some people may have important files or programs" , and you are right , but did they do the basic step? which is backup their important files and software licenses in case of smashed system? if yes , format C: is the way to go.

Ask every IT repair guy, customers need their system operational ASAP , 99% of customers didn't care i format their system, they want it ready for yesterday. Not saying, longer it takes, more money they have to spend ... some people ask me a cure instead of a format because they lost *cough cough , keygened* the license for their softwares. Of course i charge them more.

If you believe that curing is better than format + restore, then nothing can be said anymore...so i will let you play with those support forums (which are not made to help you clean your infected system but fix issue with the soft)

Anyway, as for Fabian himself, I am pretty sure that when you were like 13 (so about 7 years ago?) years old he was probably studying Windows Internals and performing malware analysis. I doubt you know anything about him really, or even about his work properly.

What makes me mad is that things weren't going your own way, instead of you getting praised for random crap you got questioned, so now you make accusations and can't bring any evidence to the table....

I hoped reading this post i will find useful information about Emsisoft but instead there is a debate their support.
So change the thread title or stop the argument about their support.
