I currently have kaspersky but I am thinking of switching to comodo because of their firewall and auto sandbox. If I get zemana premium for signature protection do you think I would be more secure then before?
Kaspersky is better then comodo... Comodo is a other category of products... Paid x free...
Kaspesky have a had lot more tools and resources.. Kaspersky on the head!
Unless you enjoy chopping and changing between one security suite and another every five minutes then just stick with what you have. However make sure to learn it inside out. With Kaspersky and it's gargantuan number of options that will keep you busy for some time
Don't really see a reason to replace Kaspersky.
Get the free trial and test Comodo to see wich you like more
Nothing to configure? I suppose you could leave everything at default but default rarely means the most secure when it comes to security suites. Each to their own.If played with 2009, 2014, 2017, there is nothing to configure (same as with Zone Alarm Firewall).
Then your in a position to try Comodo Internet Security.Nothing wrong with trying out another product.
There quite a few good products but it is difficult to make any decisions based on other members preferences.
Comodo is free, that is one advantage.Trying it will let you know if it is a good fit for you and your machine.
Both can be configured for default-deny; so either one will work equally well in this regard.
If you want to create a lot of complicated rules, then I would wait until COMODO announces a fix for the "disappearing rules" bug.
However, it is free - and the sandbox can be configured to be default-deny - or you can just run with the auto-sandbox.
Personally, of the two, I favor COMODO - as I had better results with it on my specific systems.
Tried Comodo Free Firewall, Bitdefender IS 2017 (30-day trial), Kaspersky IS 2017 (30-day trial). Installed Comodo on 15 Sept, Bitdefender 2017 on 17 Sept, Kaspersky 2017 on 19 Sept 2016, I will stick with Kaspersky. Comodo was the worst (actually a joke, perhaps the paid version is better - who knows). Tested all 3 for malware, spyware, network intrusion, etc. Kaspersky also offers webcam protection from all applications. Everything Kaspersky says it does, it actually does - tested it. Both Bitdefender and Kaspersky add rules for application automatically, so no need to add a list manually as with Comodo, Kaspersky's is even better than Bitdefender. Before you say anything about BOOSTING Comodo and belittle Bitdefender or Kaspersky - install both and play with them, after you've installed Kaspersky IS 2017 (trial) and viewed the myriad of options added to it's settings - you won't go back to anything else. If you want to import my configuration for Kaspersky IS 2017 (trial) or Proactive Security config for Comodo (very basic), email me at nikolai1kevin@gmail.com, will gladly email it to you. As they say, don't listen to others opinions, try it out yourself and keep that you think is best for you.
Hello what it all comes down is YOUR preferences and needs. Other people can tell you what is the most secure to use , but it does not necessarely mean that you Will have to follow those tips. My suggestion is to grab a copy of shadow defender and install kaspersky or comodo as a tryout ( in shadow mode ) to see what suits you and your needs best. Shadow defender is needed if you want to deinstall kis or cis , you don't have to worrie about special uninstallers / tools to remove leftover drivers , folders and registry items. Especially with comodo , trust me....iv'e been there and I have definately learned my lesson. As you know kaspersky and comodo are 2 different security products ; one relies on proactive default deny , the other on signatures B.b and other flashy whistles and Bells wich have failed missarable against a ransom a while back , as shown in cruelsisters video....ask her , she is not in the least bit a fan of the Russian security vendor. So Some product are way overrated and too overprized for what they offer. Comodo can be a good product with good features plus a ton of bugs. Configured properly it can be like for knox. The av module of cis is very weak. I wish you good luck in making your descisscion
Ok, what do you use (can you export your configuration file and email it to me), can you state if you tested it against malware, spyware, etc. or you got it just because it's free or you like it.I've tested them all and don't use any of them...

<facepalm>
Kaspersky Internet Security 2017 vs Comodo Internet Security 8?
What color do you like? Red or Blue?
What care do you prefer? Mercedes or BMW?
What do you like more? Apples or Oranges?
No disrespect to the topic starter.
But please.... A VS B topic
How about this: Try one brand stick with it for lets say the trial period, and then test the other brand for the same amount of time and then report back and make your choice.
Because here on MT (Again please no disrespect) there is a spam regarding VS topic's, and other then adding post/topic count they do not contribute. Specially if in one topic member X claims brand X is the greatest and in 2 hours in a different topic says: brand X sucks..
Even products being compared while they are pretty much exactly the same the only difference is the build number. Lol
Back on topic.
Comodo (I respect them for what they try to do) but it does not get my vote.
Kaspersky? What good can i possible say that has not already been said in their 10+ years of proven security?
Kaspersky is one of those very fortunate companies who deliver top class security and remain doing so.
Sure bugs and issues do happen with any product... And testing scores might vary from month to month.
But Kaspersky is not going to let you down.
Kind Regards,
Nico
I use:
That's it.
- AppGuard
- Windows Defender
- Windows Firewall
- uBlock Origin or Adguard
- Rollback RX
I have multiple systems.
I never get infected or hacked. Oh, the occasional browser hijack will happen - but that is something that CCleaner will remove.

I've tested just about every AV\Internet Security suite there is against malware, for usability, for problems. They were all a disappointment in one way or another.
