New Update LibreWolf Browser - A fork of Firefox, focused on privacy, security and freedom

I'm getting this latest update although the LW site still shows 99.0.1.2

Does anyone know how to make Librewolf start maximized even if ResistFingerprinting is enabled? Firefox has had this same issue for a very log time too.

After downloading the latest version of LibreWolf portable when unzipping, my Avira screams:

Is Avira hypersensitive ?

LW is hardened FF. If FF cannot do it then LW won't be able to do it unless you disable ResistFingerprinting

That's what I thought But sometimes there are differences, like Waterfox is based on Firefox yet can use both Firefox and Chrome extensions. I thought it best to ask just in case.

What makes this browser better (for privacy oriented users) than usual Firefox ? Couldn't I just apply these settings in Firefox and have the same browser ?

Most settings can be switched off, like studies and pocket, and most telemetry, that's true. But there is a difference between having things like that switched off, which may or may not be revert to being enbles with every update, and having the code for those kind of things completely removed. Firefox seems to be using more and more telemetry laterly, and that's not a good direction. Also, I find the "about:preferences#librewolf" settings very useful.

Could the problem be solved with some kind of script ?

It's a more hardened version of Firefox but do they do anything different or keep anything from older days? Like for instance the irritating bookmark menu which FF changed to include a space between each bookmark entry. Many people seemed to hate that small change but doesn't matter to the God's at Mozilla.

Does anyone know any other firefox fork that isn’t Librewolf, Waterfox, PaleMoon(please, no comment in how it’s different now) or even Tor?

A fork that isn’t hardened that is cut off from any (if possible) connection to Mozilla. Something like Brave does with their browser.
