Question Lightest possible antimalware.

I was given a laptop Asus with AMD A9-9425 and 8 gigas ram.
The computer is very very slow.
I'm looking for decent antimalware that doesn't slow me down even more.
Panda dome ? Webroot ? but the tests are a disaster !
I don't practice particularly dangerous surfing but I want to stay reasonably protected

Yes, but if combine it with a safe DNS like Cloudflare or NextDNS and maybe even a firewall, it will do.

I'd go for ESET. F-Secure will use a good amount of RAM. ESET will use less. If it is using an HDD I would try to change for an SSD.

It's using an SSD, nothing more to hope .
Finally, I choose Eset, no significant additional slowdown observed.

Strangely, after a few days, the computer becomes increasingly slow with Eset. So I uninstalled Eset and installed f-secure which seems to work better for me. To be continued...

To conclude this thread, I confirm that on my laptop, f-secure is much lighter than Eset. Odd !
