I'm using PrivateFirewall in my laptop, not sure on the RAM usage but it doesn't slowdown at all; fine and light.

no im done with standalone firewalls they are a pain in the neck going with internet security suites instead plus i got Mamutu (behavioral blocker) + Vipre H.I.P.S in the firewall

hiya sorry for posting this here btw what would disable mamutu on my computer

ok here the thing some how windows firewall was not disabled when i installed bullguard so i turned off windows firewall and find that mamutu BB was disabled kinda wierd

First time I've ever heard of it, a little digging and you find:

im having problems with windows explorer keeps getting not responding and i cant install anything on my machine is there a good free replacement for it if so what are they and thanks alot guys

Is the explorer.exe came problems numerous times you used it?

Maybe certain applications can cause on CPU usage on high enough.

Did you try some solution like from my post and System Restore (suggested by Mclovin)? Does it worked?

Last resort is to reformat if nothing works.

Try one of them as alternative, to make sure if it does work well in your system.

However Windows Explorer is pretty vital for your work so it needs to fix that.

Other solutions (try to fix), before replacing the Shell.

1. Identify the problem that is causing Windows Explorer to crash with ShellExView - URL

2. Run the System File Checker to repair Windows 7 system files (SFC.exe) - URL

This one is a very nice replacement for windows explorer which I use http://www.zabkat.com/x2lite.htm
it has an option to replace windows explorer which you can choose during the installation

hiya guys its been awhile i have a problem with my router it has control of my computer (desktop) to one of my websites that is trusted it has something to do with DNS server and when i go and change my DNS servers the website works but only for a few hours and then i redirected to DLink search page and use different DNS addresses

my router is D-Link 615 N300

is there any way to bypass a router so both my computer and my wives laptop can be connected to the modem and directly connect to the internet without using a router any ideas or help would be great guys thanks
