Hi Guys,

We will be coming up with a paid version soon and we would like to hear what is the most preferred licensing model. I have created a poll at http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=359712. Please feel free to vote and it will be great if you can also post an explanation of your vote there.

Hope to hear from all of you.

Hi guys,

Your long awaited SecureAPlus Beta is finally released for testing :)

We will still be using the same UI at this moment but we will further enhance it and hopefully we can get it out by SecureAPlus Beta 2 program. We will also be adding more AV engines for Universal AV over time.

For those existing beta testers, you can download and install SecureAPlus Beta at http://beta.secureaplus.com/Beta2/betaportal_download.php. If you already have SecureAPlus on your computer, you can simply install SecureAPlus beta over it. But please take note of the system requirements as well as this message before installing on your computer:

"As stipulated in SecureAPlus End User License Agreement, SecureAPlus will automatically upload the file hashes of exe, dll, msi and scripts from your computer to Universal AV server for continuous file scanning. It does not upload any document files since they are scanned by SecureAPlus local antivirus component. Please do not install SecureAPlus Beta if you do not wish to upload any file hashes. If you have any privacy concern, please email to secureaplus@secureage.com."

For those who are interested to test the new SecureAPlus, you can sign up as a beta tester at http://beta.secureaplus.com.

Please give as many feedback as possible in SecureAPlus Beta Forum or to secureaplus@secureage.com. ;)

Cheers,
sinlam

Hi guys,

We have released the latest SecureAPlus Beta v2.2.2. Good news to those Windows Vista users. This new version can now support Windows Vista SP2 and above.

We have improved the performance of SecureAPlus by the following bugs fixes and enhancements:

1. Fixed - When switching from "History" to "Quarantine" interface, the dialog box will freeze whilst in the midst of populating the table.
2. Fixed - Keyscrambler driver was not trusted during installation.
3. Fixed - Memory leak in the Application Whitelisting service.
4. Improve the background initial whitelisting speed when it is set to fast. It will be great if some of you can test this out by uninstalling SecureAPlus and reinstalling this new version on your computer.
5. Improve the submission of new hashes process for Universal AV.
6. Users will be notified as soon as the very first infected file is detected.
7. Display the detected antivirus engines in the Quarantine and History.
8. "View log" button at Universal AV dialog box.
9. Add in the daily file upload limit options: Unlimited (default setting), 1 GB, 100 MB and 10 MB at the Universal AV dialog box.

If you have already installed SecureAPlus Beta on your computer and your default setting is automatic update, you do not have to do anything as it will be automatically updated upon your next reboot.

You can go to http://beta.secureaplus.com/Beta2/be...l_download.php to view the latest changelog or download the latest SecureAPlus Beta v2.2.2.

Hi guys,

We are finally at the last phase of the Beta Program, SecureAPlus Beta 2. In this beta finale, we will focus more on enhancing GUI, performance, stability and usability aspects of SecureAPlus before its actual launch to the market. If you have some great ideas about how to make SecureAPlus a better security software, join us as a beta testers now.

We are also pleased to announce the release of SecureAPlus Beta v2.3.0. In this version, it is able to support Windows Server 2003 R2 SP1 and above (32-bit and 64-bit), Windows Server 2008 SP1 and above (32-bit and 64-bit), Windows Server 2008 R2 and above (64-bit), Windows Server 2012 (64-bit) and Windows Server R2 2012 (64-bit).

Based on the request of some beta testers, you can now specify the file or folder that you do not wish to be uploaded to Universal AV server at the "Exclusions" section in "SecureAPlus Settings".

We have also introduced partial GUI enhancement and we will continuously do that for the subsequent beta releases. In this version, the GUI enhancements start right from the point when you have installed SecureAPlus successfully (including the initial background whitelisting process) right up to the scanning result by Universal AV. We have renamed this process as Full System Scan. We therefore strongly encourage all the beta testers to uninstall the previous beta version and install this latest version. We hope you can experience this full system scanning process and give us feedback on this experience.

Login to http://beta.secureaplus.com and then go to https://secureaplusbeta.secureage.com/Beta2/betaportal_changelog.php for more information about the changes.

To truly reward those active beta testers, we have changed the terms for getting a free life-time user license. Only those beta testers who have earned at least 100 bonus points will be entitled to one free life-time user license. For more details on how to earn the bonus points, please visit https://secureaplusbeta.secureage.com/Beta2/betaportal.php.

We will be coming up with new survey (20 bonus points) and quiz (50 bonus points) next week. This is a good chance to earn the bonus points and bring you closer to the target of 100 bonus points.

Cheers,
sinlam

Hey bora, since you used it, will you recommend it to me. I was wondering if it is worth a try.o_Oo_O

We are now working on a beta version which is a complete revamp on the current Freemium version. We have introduced several new features and have completely changed the GUI. We plan to launch this new version in one to two months' time. I will announce it once the market-ready version is out. You may want to try it out then :)

Hi guys,

It is my pleasure to announce the release of SecureAPlus Beta v2.3.1.

In this version, we have incorporated the new GUI for SecureAPlus main dialog only. But the rest of the GUI is still the same.

We have also included the "Disable AV" option based on some beta testers' requests.

Here are some of the bugs fixes and enhancements. You can view more information about the changes at https://secureaplusbeta.secureage.com/Beta2/betaportal_changelog.php.

- Fixed - There is no retry mechanism in Universal AV for new hashes that failed to be transferred.
- Fixed - Universal AV missed out some files that contain unicode characters in the filename.
- When prompting on an untrusted file, Application Whitelisting will contact Universal AV to check whether a file is clean.
- In SecureAPlus main dialog, the button to turn on/off the real time scanning is removed. Now the Enabling/Disabling local AV option will directly impact the real time scanning status.
- Daily upload limit for Universal AV is moved to "Settings".
- For manual scanning result, the text is changed from "Scan complete. x threat detected" to "Scan complete. x threat(s) detected".
- Change search engine database journaling mode to improve the consistency.
- Added "opera.exe" and "opera64.exe" in the Restricted Applications list.

If you have already installed SecureAPlus Beta on your computer and your default setting is automatic update, you do not have to do anything as it will be automatically updated upon your next reboot.

For those who are interested to try this beta version, join us as a beta tester at https://secureaplusbeta.secureage.com.

Please feel free to comment :)

Hi guys,

We are pleased to announce the latest release of SecureAPlus Beta v2.3.2. In this version, we have added the option to enable or disable real-time scanning at the settings. Excluded files are marked so that the Universal AV server can request for its upload again when they are removed from the excluded list. We have also fixed the bugs reported by one of the beta testers - now the virus file that is detected by Universal AV will be displayed in the scanning results even if you use the computer as a normal user account without the admin privilege.

Other bugs fix and enhancements are as follows:

- Fixed - Internal database search engine issue.
- If there is any delay in ClamAV file scanning, Universal AV will proceed with the scanning first.
- Support folder exclusion for virus scanning.
- An option is added to remember the answer throughout the session when a virus file is detected by the real-time scanning.
- Newly added status details in the Main GUI.

Just like before, if you have already installed SecureAPlus Beta on your computer and your default setting is automatic update, SecureAPlus will be automatically updated upon your next reboot.

Existing beta testers can go to http://beta.secureaplus.com/Beta2/betaportal_download.php to view the latest changelog. For those who are interested to try out this latest beta version, join us as beta tester now at https://secureaplusbeta.secureage.com/Beta2/beta_signup.php.

Looking forward to hearing all your comments :)

I installed this program yersterday but now I went in Setting then Updates and when I press Check for updates, something comes up but I can't see it, it's popping up in the top-right corner of my screen so I can't see at all what it says and I can't move it or anything.
