Question:
what AV solution browser extension you use and why?

Note: this is not a thread to list other extensions such as adblockers, https anywhere etc.

In the past (Windows 7) my father had installed Avast Online Security on top of Norton on our family PC. When our ISP started to offer discounted F-secure licenses with bigger internet bundles, we used F-secure together with Bitdefender Traffic Light. When I used free Avast on my PC's together with Bitdefender Traffic Light. After CCleaner drama, I moved to Manjaro Linux with Sophos free and BitDefende Traffic Light as browser extension.

Why? Like most Dutch kids I just started using what my parents used (same goes for bank, newspaper and favorite coffee brand).

None. ublock origin and tracking protection and smartscreen that comes with Edge is more than enough. I used Emsisoft extension in the past but removed soon enough since I didn't really need it.

None, Cleanbrowsing blocks more threats than those extensions anyway. But Yandex provides some basic AV scan for links/files, so technically yes.

I use Bitdefender TrafficLight, AdBlock, K9, Malwarebytes, ZenMate. /s

None. Microsoft Defender does not install any extensions to your browser. Microsoft Defender Browser Protection is optional for supported Chromium browsers, but is not forced installed by Windows 10.

Can't edit my post anymore: forgot to mention that I am not using anyone at the moment (with WD-AV and Edge-Smartscreen there is no need for it)

On PC:
Chrome: Microsoft Defender Browser Protection. Google's Safe Browsing paired with SmartScreen seems to me best of both worlds.
Edge: None as SmartScreen is integrated.

On Linux:
Brave: Bitdefender TrafficLight for peace of mind.

I quit using extensions and switched to Safe Browsing only in Brave. It's enough for my surfing style.

I actually wasn't sure if Brave had Safe Browsing. Thanks for confirming that it does!

Make sure it's enabled in Settings > Privacy & Security.

Good video. This is true for every extension. In case of adblockers, uBlock Origin is probably the most trustable one.

I personally trust AdGuard more but i will remove it soon so Browser run without any such extension.
