It is advised to take all reviews with a grain of salt. In extreme cases some reviews use dramatization for entertainment purposes.

Been testing symantec endpoint free unmanaged client with settings set to all max and all i can say is whoa!!! For those wanting a good free solution use Symantec endpoint unmanaged client with the browser extension. Also no advertisements or any BS!
Cruel sister tested Symantec against worms and it done pretty well but obviously failed eventually
And it's one of the best av software and there is a reason the top fortune companies use it
Obviously you can make it as good as comodo with polices but by default it's not default deny

We serve more than 90% of Fortune 50 companies, and 8 out of every 10 companies in the Fortune 500. And we have assisted in the arrest of more than 150 alleged cyber criminals.

I agree, Web AV module probably is the 1st (or one of the 1st) line of prevention / protection...
Kaspersky does detect a lot of threats at that level as well so it's nice how they are pretty good at every layer
Using quad9+Kaspersky and safe browsing should block most threats at the first layer (usually the first layer is web )

Would be bad advice to turn the web protection of Kaspersky off but it does slow browsing so better see if page loading time is fast enough as although it does slow it just a little it should obviously be manageable and worth the added detection at that layer

I agree the web protection of K is excellent. I had some incidents where web protection truly protected me. in our tests to choose for our company, we did not observe any noticeable slowdown from web protection of k. but we had with Bitdefender and gdata avast etc.

waiting for Shadowra next test would be nice and fun

I had a pishing site missed by Symantec , bitdefender , checkpoint , Microsoft defender ,quad9 ,google safe browsing
I had uploaded to macafee wich didn't it either then sent it to virus total and only one who got it there was Kaspersky so it definitely did surprise me

You can reply to multiple posts with just a single post, rather than creating a new post for every reply.
But then u r not addressing the individual who made the post.

I used to have a boss, he was the kind of boss who, didn't just want to say "Go clean the warehouse floor". He would come watch you, and give you instructions on how to hold the broom and mop.

I am set to "watch" this thread, and did not get any notice of new posts for over 2 days and missed 2.5 pages of new posts. Ugh.

Yes, just disable background scanning. I do not recommend disabling web injection, Kaspersky will not block malicious URLs if you disable that.
disabling web injection does not affect malicious site blocking. I always disable that which makes the web protection much better fewer bugs and better web surfing. if you see the help document for web injection, the protection modules don't use it, other non-important ones use it.

really sorry Shadowra for hijacking this thread and talking only about K 🙏

Actually, you can. Like this example below.

This is the example.

@annaegorov No one is telling you what to do. It was for your info only, in case you didn't know. Nobody's making a big deal about this except you. End of story.

So what is it used for then? Safe money and those elements?

If I know for certain that protection is the same with it disabled, I'd go for disabling it. I've hit far too many issues in the last few releases with that enabled.
