The only time I Unignore someone is if there is a follow-up post by a respected member who acknowledges a helpful post and of why. Then I'll check out what they had to say.
I did a reset twice, on multiple forums, I unignored everyone, just to ignore them a few mins later, we just were not compatible. I even blocked SCS and they blocked me. 🙃

Unfortunately, "ignore" only applies when logged in.
My rule is better, as it can also be applied to uBoL, which hides posts even without logging in, but I won't write it in this thread.
But if anyone one wants to know your solution, for only $25. dollars for a lifetime subscription, just send you a DM for the information...LOL, just kidding :)

Sometimes when being banned, it is actually a badge of honor 😅
Indeed, it is crazy, how SCS is banning everyone on Steam, it is like every other user is banned. I spent about 5000 hours on their games over decades, it is time to move on. If they do not want my money, I am not complaining, I have ~50 steam games, I have not played yet. I got lucky and Steam refunded me money from the last DLC,, so .... 🥱

I like the feature if applied on both me and Divergent.
There is misuse of authority in favor of Divergent to allow him to reply to my posts, and stopping me from being able to do the same.
@Jack
There's nothing inherently wrong with disagreeing on a subject. You just need to learn how to make your point more simply without turning it into a back-and-forth ping-pong match that sounds more like bickering.

It clutters threads and can keep going on without accomplishing much.

Everyone needs to accept decisions from moderators if you are involved in trouble with personal attacks. The moderation action is for both...

I told in my previous post that it doesn't matter who started the personal dispute, because that happens since weeks between you and @Divergent
Correcting misinformation is a normal and accepted practice in this group, yet this specific user has a pattern of reacting with personal hostility when corrected, and then playing the victim if he is reprimanded. I did not instigate this conflict; my only goal was to ensure accurate information was shared.

And causes some threads to be prematurely locked.

There's that one user here whose posts are 1:1 copy from ChatGPT; ignored him and reported him to staff. I believe forum should be a place where humans discuss, not where replies are exact copy from AI.
A different angle as far as AI posts. I started a thread about 5 days ago asking if the Bot could be totally disabled for 30 days forum wide, just to see what it would be like w/o those responses. I pointed to a thread in the Troubleshooting sub forum, as Bot was going nuts with so many replies that some of us started posting our displeasure with it.

@Jack was very helpful with his reply, saying that he would throttle back the Bot's replies in that sub forum, as that's how it was set up, to reply after every post. He also had a couple other insights that made me wish I hadn't deleted that thread.

Again, I know this is not what you're posting about, but if some of those AI posts are dialed back a bit would be helpful IMO, and make me happy :)

I understand wanting genuine human discussion, but the reality is that users here often look up information and regurgitate it as their own knowledge anyway. Ultimately, whether they pull that information from a traditional search engine or an AI doesn't really matter.

At least some members who post AI-generated content format their posts so that it's clearly known an AI was used. That is arguably much more transparent than the members who look up information online and just spout it off like they wrote it themselves.

I don't mind Bot being here, but it would be useful if we could get him to reply ONLY if he's being summoned by tagging, quoting or just replying to its post. I think it shouldn't mess around the topic unless it is specifically called.

I turn off "bot" everytime I create a thread; when needed, I mention to ask in post.

@Divergent & @Parkinsond you both need to chill out and accept people have different opinions, skills, and knowledge. We are all here to learn and as long as A.I. content is labeled correctly like @Divergent has been doing really well with in his posts there is no problems.

Sometimes personalities clash and you just need to stop replying or just don't take the bait. It only affects if you let it. Just ignore and move on.

I was against A.I. in the beginning but now I've accepted it, it's the norm now and fighting against A.I. content you become a cave dweller and Luddite.

Just pour yourself a drink :emoji_beer:🍹🍺🍻🍸🍾🍷 and take a chill pill 💊 and relax. This is a security forum not /r/politics on Reddit.

Let me guess Halp2001.

Did you see any conflicts with the rest of MT member I disagree with their opinion?
