I did not like the interface,(it does have great protection) getting there firewall for me was a lesson in futility,uninstalling difficult,if you like a set it and forget it,its a good choice, they refunded me quick,really good customer service.(had home premium)Hope they come out with Home version including there firewall in one download soon

Generally free means crap, If something is given for free, don't expect top notch quality, you want it, you have to pay for it.

Sophos has so much false positives compared to Kaspersky .
And H_C +Configure Defender is miles ahead in terms of protection.
But I really love how Sophos integrates some of the endpoint grade products to consumers .
But it's not enough to win my vote.

On my system .... Yes. Last try is before 2 months

It does have some impact. But, as with other solutions, until you’ve run a full scan and let it catalog the system for a couple days it definitely gets faster, but not the fastest.

My take.

For advanced user
if you use a management server then SEP if not then McAfee(SEP lacks options in unmanged client GUi ) .
[Pm me for a very long SPEM license]

And For average user
Best protection H_C && configure defender + SEP (network host and exploit Mitigation config only){warning very high false positives}

Best balance SEP unmanged Full installation.(has some false positives)


Low false positives KSC free + SEP(network and host exploit Mitigation only)

Best auto sandbox for average user Comodo firewall Cruel settings ( A lot of false positives)

I don't know about that. Yes, simple to set up - but the user needs knowledge of legitimate Windows processes, otherwise you have a lot of sandboxed files and no idea how to proceed.

No some don't as long as whitelist
Everything after installation .
And popular software most likely won't get sandbox.
And even if a user is a dumbass and downloaded an infected keygen .
It will run restricted in the sandbox and able to generate a key.
So sometimes more usability .
That way a dumbass won't get Infected.

It's nice since I can import the Xml Configuration whitelist the system.

i tried sophos it did not feel bloated no more then any other software only thing i noticed it does not like some gaming servers like epic and kind a made it slow but browsing has improved a lot

Mcafee to me seems to run better on intel system then AMD but do you need all the extra crap for protection and while browsing no impact at all even with there web protection extension

I have to say i am leaning myself towards Windows Defender it just protects you stays out of the way. not telling me to buy this or that or upgrade
or buy a vpn on and on and on

just how i feel think a lot of them do more damage to your system then help you listen up Comodo Sorry talking to myself

Yeah windows defender plus Andy H_C is set and forgot Enterprise grade protection.
I usually combine it with SEP (network and host mitigation)
But since it's a gaming computer I would be worried about the ping .

is forticlient really that bad i had it installed and it felt really light and did not notice it it always updated every hour but then i heard has no zero day
protection but would not a good bb extension say Trafficlight help with that ? also i heard you are better running Windows Defender because if so sad
because Forticlient seemed like the next best thing to Defender

aND on another note on last Av test it has showed that bitdefender did not do that good But when you look at test Vipre was top on the score
Confused how could that be when they use bitdefender Vipre second home scanner if they have one is that good i can understand Gdata did good
with Beast ect but Vipre So explain that please just Curious
