He has the Screenshot with Idle and during scan on page 11, post 108 for some reference. However he is on 32bit architecture.

When I tried Pure, CPU and RAM spikes were apparent when even browsing on chrome.

Today i too have problem with kaspersky pure,during scan cpu spikes up continually to 100 with 200k ram
So
Removed:kaspersky pure
Added:avast Internet security

Pretty much the spikes I had during scan, although some spikes on idle too for some reason.

Already on avast IS?

I just need to grab the remaining links and the tests will begin!

I do and scan with full setting (at maximum).Not only pup but i tweak other scan setting as well but still avast have some poor detection compare to other while i scan it with malware.
You can see few latest result posted by me at virus exchange

avast test was done with default settings. nothing tweaked.

Removed:kaspersky Pure
open dns

Added:Norton Internet security
Google Dns


Kaspersky Pure is good for computer when it remain idle and when you start browsing,play video or open pdf/office then it shows its true sign :P

Scans though can't be a bad thing, you could go off and do other things while it scans, or do you sit and watch them? :P

and you can do work easily while norton scan unlike bitdefender/kaspersky

Hmm, I see. Don't know how Bitdefender and Kaspersky are like with their scans, but as for Norton, that is what I would do.

Guessing also that you are using a trial?
