Precisely my thought process. Windows Defender w/ ConfigureDefender on max is pretty good these days, so combining that with excellent web filtering and a backup which only scans on-execution (and of course anti-exploit and anti-ransomware which monitors disk usage) is a beast of a combo.
Registered Malwarebytes as an AV to disable Windows Defender, the network protection process uses between 5-15% CPU and the main process uses 10% CPU when downloading games. Insanity.
