It’s such a shame to see a company like Trend Micro allow one of its products to stagnate with so few meaningful improvements. Trend Micro is by no means a struggling or dying company they have the revenue and resources to invest in the product, even if that means hiring different engineers or bringing in new talent with fresh ideas.

That’s what makes it so difficult to understand. When you have a product as unique as Trend Micro’s, it seems like a huge missed opportunity to simply let it sit without the development and innovation it deserves. The potential is clearly there, and with the right investment and engineering direction, the product could be significantly better than it is today.

They don't give a damn about Home Products.

I've never tried the endpoint protection they offer, so I can't comment on its effectiveness. However, if it's a better engine, they should just replace the home version with the endpoint product, making some modifications to suit home users. They could have done a better job with its AI toolbar for detecting malicious websites; it’s quite poor and not much better than its actual web filtering.
