Hello,
what is your top 3 antivirus, what you would recommended to people? + what are you using?

True but average joe can also notice system slowdown after installing a particular app especially if it has low specs.average joe dont care , they want solid, free with little hassle.
Most probably wont even notice or even care about the processes, this is a geek concern.
Indeed but I never had complaints about it. They were happy it was free. Anyway, Finding a free, light and efficient AV is not simple task. Maybe KCF, is an option.True but average joe can also notice system slowdown after installing a particular app especially if it has low specs.
I am not in favor of making a bunker from a laptop.
and no evidence to Kaspersky spying, Kaspersky move all server to swizeland, please investigate and then say
On the web it comes out, in several pages they published it. https://www.kaspersky.com/about/pre...lab-moving-core-infrastructure-to-switzerlandAnd how do you make sure they moved the servers? how do you investigate? Do you read the press? Give me an example.
I quit buying av suites now that WD has gotten so much better. It's integrated, doesn't slow my system in the slightest, harden it with Configure Defender and you're good to go.
Windows defender is super easy to pass, recently came a malware that disables Microsoft software making it totally useless.1. Windows Defender
2. none
3. none
If and just if:
ESET
Why no other AV solution?
- To be honest I wish I could use Sophos Intercept X Advanced but noooo... Only for Corp. use and Sophos Home Premium is not even close to the configuration then Intercept X Adv. can deliver.
Why just why?
What I like about Intercept X Adv. is that it has a cool Ransomware protections that detects file encryption attempts on your system and cancels the process that does that and restores the file encrypted. Added advantage Deep Learning and lots more...
What is fair about that comparison?
Windows Defender for me as a Home user should be enough with a little muscle from EEK as a second opinion. ^^ - I do not want to suggest ent. solutions. Coz those are hard to come by or super expensive... Plus it adds overhead on the system... WD is integrated and should not pose a threat to Windows Updates that other AV providers did in the past.
To bring it to a close:
The best protection is the user
Sincerely
Val.

Latest Windows now has Tamper Protection. I do agree things excluding themselves or disabling Defender was a problem though.Windows defender is super easy to pass, recently came a malware that disables Microsoft software making it totally useless.
Then your system must be poorly configured.Windows defender is super easy to pass, recently came a malware that disables Microsoft software making it totally useless.
