What song/album are you listening to right now?

To the MWT members here that can post Youtube video, how are you doing it? When I try to embed a video I get the 153 Error message that the video can't be played. I have tried everything I can find on google search and none of the solutions work. I did a test and can post/embed video on another website where I am a member and it works fine, that website also runs Cloudflare, same as MalwareTips. I appreciate any help with this.

I can post it, and it displays, but get the 153 error after its posted when I try to play it (as well as other members videos) It's been going on for awhile, from this thread:

So in Chrome I disabled uBlock and F-Secure browser protection from the Extensions menu. I disabled Use secure DNS in the Chrome settings, and disabled F-Secure VPN, cleared all of Chromes history (cookies etc.) logged back in with the same 153 error result.

Edit: and I'm not trying to be a jerk, which at times I know I can be, but I just thought I'd check another forum I used to be a part of where they have a music thread, and all...

Thanks for your replies. I use Chrome with Ubo Lite on my Windows laptop, I tried turning off Ubo and also tried embedding video in an incognito window. Neither one worked. I get the same 153 error in Edge too. I also get the same 153 error on my Linux Mint laptop, both in Firefox and Chrome. I read in a Google search that this is something Google and YouTube are doing on purpose and it is impossible to fix it in the browser. For whatever reason Google does not want us to embed YouTube videos now. That still does not explain how I am still able to post videos on the other website though. I guess if there is a song/video I really want to post here I can put up the link for it instead of the video itself. It's too bad Google has to do things this way. I really enjoyed sharing music that I like with other people on MWT. Maybe one day Google will change its mind or someone else will find a solution.

I currently only experience this issue at MalwareTips Forums.

Only some YouTube videos work here.

Perhaps YouTube changed something that clashes with the way that this forum handles YouTube embeds.

My wild guess it that the admins here can possibly adjust a setting on their end that might help, but who knows.

I have tried to use the YouTube URL from the address bar of the video and using the link giving using the share button for a video, both get the same results.

The videos that do not work here, work on my WordPress.com blog without issue.

1. Example, here is the YouTube video My Love by the YouTube channel Maye here at the MalwareTips Forums: What song/album are you listening to right now?

"Watch video on YouTube
Error 153
Video player configuration error"

2. Here is that same YouTube video on my WordPress.com blog: My Love

When I was Googling the problem I saw posts from other people that had the same problem, a 153 error when trying to post or embed a Youtube video on whatever website. I saw a few threads from people that had to embed training videos for work or school that they could not get to work no matter how they tried. I mean no offense to the admins here but I do know that I never ever saw this problem before MalwareTips changed to the Cloudflare platform. My daughter told me last night that Youtube is restructuring and laying off staff because of their AI integration. Maybe that is part of the problem, maybe it has something to do with revenue for Youtube. I have no idea what is really causing the problem and I hope it is fixed some time soon.

I've about given up & to be honest rarely use YouTube anymore now as it don't like a VPN or my Adblocker or whatever - Life can & does go on without it it??

Just click on the Watch video on YouTube link and the YouTube link will open in another tab and it can be watched there.

A new single from Midnite City. You have to click the "Watch video on Youtube" link to see/hear it. The band has a new album to be released on Nov. 21st. Excellent song, this one.

 
I ran across this on a music site. I think the band is from England. This band was the backing group for Jeff Lynne's ELO. The sound now is a lot like Earth, Wind and Fire. Definitely very good Yacht Rock/West Coast AOR here. This album was released last year. It is on Youtube, maybe other streamers too. You have to click the "watch video on Youtube" link to hear the song.
