Why I am avoiding preview updates and waiting a couple of days before downloading monthly ones

Quoted:

Right after turning the new Start menu on, I noticed two very bizarre issues. First, when you install new apps, their folders with shortcuts do not appear in the list of apps right away.
The second bug is also odd and annoying. The first time you open the Start menu after a system or File Explorer restart, left-clicking or right-clicking on any application results in the Start menu scrolling to the top of the list.

What a carry on installing KB5067036 is not exactly fast & is giving the PC more load than usual patch Tuesday, I'm seconds away from rebooting & imaging back, no wonder I stopped being an insider, more like installing Windows itself
Try to avoid "preview" updates in general; they are already included in the next month "regular" updates.

I don't mind preview updates, they go smoothly for me. Normal updates like KB5067036 has been a shits show, won't install or always comes up with errors.

I rarely get issues with patch Tuesday, I guess Enterprise has some gremlins in that cause problems. Never experienced the hate towards patch Tuesday, maybe it's just me?

Its installed OK, obviously I haven't read the full info to enable the updated start as nothing has changed, oh well ...

EDIT: Stick that imaging back I'll get it when MS give it me now, once again they think they are handing out free gold to try their new ideas?
  1. Once the update is installed, download ViVeTool from GitHub and unpack it whenever convenient.
  2. Launch Command Prompt as Administrator and navigate to the folder with ViVeTool files using the CD command. For example, CD C:\vive.
  3. Type vivetool /enable /id:47205210 and press Enter. This command enables the new Start menu. If you want to turn on the rest of the features in KB5067036, type vivetool /enable /id:47205210,57048231,56328729 (the latter ID also turns on the redesigned battery'
