In the last months I saw two issues with Zemana AM, one old one still not solved and a new one:
- the old one is that Zemana still doesn't scan all file inside a folder on right click scan.
-the new one is that Zemana on smart scan misses malware (also .exe) in appdata in smart scan that it detects in deep scan mode. Can you pls check why?

One question, what are the differences between smart scan, deep scan and right click scan in terms of type of scanned files, scan depth (e.g subfolder nr. or depth of scan of packed compressed files)?

Smart scan just scans certains areas from ur pc. that is why it dont detect some malware compaired to deepscan. deepscan scans ur whole pc. another reason that it does not always detect on smart/deepscan/rightclick scan is that it doesnt scan in archive and other criteries where it does not scan. but they have say that zemana is mainly made for on execution scan, for the lightnes. they main focus in on lightness and removal from hard infected pcs and now with "pandora sandbox" on zero day malware too.

I wrote the development team, below their answer.

"Smart scan only scans autostart locations (it has one of the best collection for autostart locations), processes, drivers, browsers and boot records (MBR & VBR). Full scan, additionally scan more offline locations (Which depends of the OS).

ZAM only scans files which could cause harm to your PC. Even though there too many executables, some of them are for ARM and other architectures."

I asked more questions , more in the next days. ...

It's disappointing that Zemana won't be removing 'Add shortcut to desktop' after every update / install.
