New Update Avast acquires 'I don't care about Cookies' browser extension

Thanks, Marko.
I can imagine conflicts, with both ISDCAC and uBlock Origin filterlists trying to do the same thing. But so far, I haven't experienced any conflicts.
Thanks again.
Seems like developer noticed this.

Yes, you're right.
It's the principle of overlapping effects.
If both intervene simultaneously on the same notification, at a given moment in time, they could cancel each other out.
In this case, that's not harmful because it involves failed blocking a cookie notification.

P.S. All of the above is in theory; in practice, things are often different......;)

I randomly remembered this extension and installed it just to test it against uBlock Origin cookie filters. Result? uBlock Origin does WAY better job than I still don't care about cookies extension.

The extension doesn't block cookie notices on quite a large number of websites for me, where uBlock Origin works wonders. On some websites, when accessing, you need to wait a second or two before you can browse them as cookie notice is shown, and extension takes time to remove it. This doesn't happen on uBO.

Also, the extension doesn't rely on filters. It's rules are custom written and hard-coded into the extension. That means issues found won't be fixed until the next version of the extension drops.
I always thought why use this extension when uBO & AdGuard do an excellent job. When the new version of this extension was released a few days ago, I asked Copilot about the advantage/disadvantage and performance difference between this two approach, and it said this,

Exactly! I thought "well... it's an extension on its own so by some logic it should be more powerful than uBO filters". Clearly I was wrong.
