DVD/CD drive not recognized by Windows 7 Home Premium after failed attempt to upgrade to Windows 10. Mr. Fixit, Registry Subkey under Regedit, Upper filters, update drivers etc. all did not work.
Click on "My Computer" with the right mouse button in the context menu, choose the last item "Properties" window opens, click on the "Hardware" tab and then click on "Device Manager".
In the window will display all the hardware components of the system, at the bottom there is the icon of the DVD drive, then you just click with the right mouse button on the DVD drive's name in the context menu and choose the "Uninstall" command.
