over the years my Macs have been borked by 3d-party security software. Lately I do run Malwarebytes on macOS as higher level Apple tech told me safe to use. But I'm not an Apple_geek -- I use my mini for limited purposes.

I'm sure that if they do that, it will be available only on their higher-tier products, like they've done with LiveGuard.

This new version of Eset 18.0.11.0 is now available
in pre-release preview, and it will surely be updated as a normal update in a few days.

It is the same thing as 17.1 just added the folder protection. this may be a disappointing update
