Thank you for the reply :) With the normal Eset protected browser, Proton works great, it's when I launch Safe Banking and Browsing from the desktop shortcut, I get this message when both Brave, and Chrome are set as the default browsers. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if I tried Edge it may work? Otherwise, part of the security in that protected browser is maybe what extensions can or cannot be installed?

itman from the ESET forum told me this about your issue:
"In stand-alone Safe Banking & Payment Protection, no browser extensions are allowed and hence - not loaded. My guess is Protron Password Manager extension is trying to override Eset's blocking of any extension loading resulting in the error message being displayed.

He could try adding Protron Password Manager extension ID, etc. to Eset Secured browser, Browser protection allow list setting and see if that fixes the issue."

Thank you for looking into it :) :) That's what I was thinking, too, that it's probably a part of Safe Banking's protection in not allowing multiple extensions, maybe somewhat like BD Safepay.
Otherwise, the normal Eset browser protection is fine, no problems there with extensions like Proton Pass :)

No problem :)
Banking protection is enabled by default in supported browsers of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Brave unless someone disables it.
If you want, you can download and use a separate browser without extensions for banking only. You could even use a portable version of Chrome/Firefox for that purpose. If you want to use extension in that browser then install nothing more than uBO/uBO Lite and your password manager.

I take it that if I wanted to use a password manager in Eset Safe Banking and Browsing, I would need to use theirs, or copy and paste from my Proton Pass desktop app?
if you're replying to mine, maybe?? I was getting MS popup error 0xc000006d. Someone online posted "The occurrence of 0xc000006d can usually be due to Windows update file corruption, user profile corruption, third party application interference, system file corruption, etc." I assume Nod32 HIPS attempted change caused this, but don't know for sure. I got the eset vm running but not running it today...

Thank you for your ideas (settings), I'll play around with some of the settings and see if I can get somewhere with it :) :)

edit: when I installed Eset it created a Safe Banking and Browsing desktop shortcut, I just had to create the app shortcut myself. I like having one there.

Nod32 is bare bones with just AV, no banking protection or VPN for me either. But on Android I have banking protection so double check.
On both of my desktop installs, Eset created the Safe Banking desktop shortcut, but even if it hadn't it can also be accessed from the App.
It sounds like Zero Knowledge has it right in regards to Nod32 being a more basic app, not a lot of extra features.
