Just to be fair, ESET now offers Ultimate Edition in my country and is offering upgrades to your current license with a 50% discount, adding the days left of whatever license you currently hold to the license.

Updates are, of course, a big topic. But it may also apply to ESET. Where is development headed? If something new is added with every upgrade, what will the product look like in 10 or 20 years? Is it still a search for the ideal, perfect tool, tuning towards optimization, or rapid testing, adding things that others have and putting ideas together without a clear purpose?
On the other hand, I am bothered by the discontinuation of services and products (NOD32 for Linux Home, Password Manager, Parental Protection). Currently, VPN is being pushed, but is it only so that this service can be discontinued after the "boom"?

If your ESET security product has not updated automatically yet, you can enforce product update by manually checking for update in the Update panel or wait until it updates automatically.

Since the update to the new version I have again the errors "HIPS: User rules file contains invalid data". I can bypass the issue but I have to disable the enhanced data protection feature that is available in the Safe banking & Browsing settings.

No malfunctions to report since the update..
No issues for me on Windows 11 25H2.
my Eset updated to 19.0.14.0 several days ago, I have not notice any issues, but I do not run that PC every day.
The problem is solved but I had to reset the HIPS module. So bye bye all custom rules .

I'm starting to be annoyed with LiveGuard.
Yesterday it block the AVG online installer.
Today it blocked a DLL file from Ikarus T3.
I can see some pattern here....premium feature but yet blocking very obvious safe files.

It's also wonderful at finding PUPs, at least in my case it was, and I had to dial back that setting.

For me this feature is overhyped. I kinda feel it's broken.
Just a few minutes ago it deleted another one-Xvirus Antimalware installer.
I didn't want to renew (Premium), as my subscription ended this month. So on one laptop I'm using Avast free (no issues) and McAfee Total Protection on another, as I figured out a couple of glitches I was having and it's been working well since then.
I see. So maybe bye bye Eset for me too next year.
Liveguard is a premium feature but it doesn't act like one in my case.
And maybe it's a bit of a sales tactic, in that, "see, LiveGuard is working, helping to protect you, even if you think the files are safe" or just overly zealous? They are being submitted, right, and then restored when they've been approved?
