  • UI: Options: Add "Local Network Addresses" field.
  • UI: Move "Auto-run" from Options to Interface tab.
  • UI: Rule Edit Dialog: Validate rule text filters on save.
  • UI: My Fort: Help button opens a WIKI.
  • Driver: Improve allowed rules handling.
Attention: Please move settings of 'IP Addresses' fields to Global Rules!
(They will be removed in v4.)

Hello !

Will a PC connected to the box via ethernet be able to access the Internet without any problem if Fort Firewall is installed on my PC?

This PC does not have Fort Firewall...

It has Internet access problems even though it's connected to the same ethernet box... as me.

Is it OK?

I don't think the problem should arise... so sorry for my message.

I don't put in “block, ...”
because every time I update via UniGetUI I'm afraid an alert will pop up, forcing me to always be on the lookout and validate via Fort Firewall ....

Is there an option that allows the alert to come to the foreground so that I can validate quickly... Because right now, I have the feeling that it's happening in the background.

I use the portable version to export rules etc.

It's up to you, which programs to allow or block.

I'm blocking all Windows services and programs, except:
- `DNSCache` service (with "Block Internet", because it works via router and LAN is not filtered)
- `System` (with "Block Internet")
- `BITS`, `DOSvc`, `WuauServ` services for Windows Update, when needed (grouped into App Group)
How to block Windows services with Fort Firewall ?

by creating application groups?

I don't understand.

Yes, it should work fine.

Try to use Wildcard Path in the Programs.

Check the Options: Interface: Programs: "Alert Window is Always on top" flag.
I use the portable version
I do not recommend to use a Portable installation. See the recommended installation video.

uninstalling the portable version will uninstall Fort Firewall?
The aim is to keep the authorizations already in place...

How can I do this ?

Thanks a lot!

1. Backup your settings by Options: Backup: "Export".
2. Uninstall the portable.
3. Install as recommended.
4. Restore your settings by Options: Backup: "Import".

Also on 2) you can archive the "C:\Program Files\Fort Firewall\Data\" folder, which contains all your settings and stats.
