It's fine lil kid, you weren't able to provide any data or how to trash the system with the mentioned settings, nothing new when people spam something like that and "being expert on it" knowing alot about it but dead in cold ice when u ask them "Then how do I do to see what you are repeating all over again" and zzzz. It's fine, I knew u were al takl but 0 testing by yourself so you have nothing to share actuually on this matter. I tested CIS like 6 years ago, and did just some days ago for fun. The latest version improved a lot and it's quite silent in default settings, all the major issues I had in the past are gone, some little are still there but ain't critical at all. On regular basis, after testing it looks pretty normal and safe. Haven't tested other's as I did in the past but I would believe they have improved as well.

Smartscreen is also about blocking, and many regular AV's may work as blocking files before execution as well. Your words are empty. Having the ability to run stuff virtualized partially o total on the AV solution itself is handy. The FW is quite good and overall I couldn't reproduce nothing of your book text about trashing the system. It may have a lot to do with how you use your system and the software you use too. Most normal people like to actually use their systems and lots of software, hence why I have stated what I have. If you just fire up your system and browser on the browser I'm sure you do not have any issues "knock on wood" that some windows update does not come along and dislike the restrictions. Yes, understand that, and it's never happened. In fact, I don't have much on this or any of the laptops, desktops I've had. Windows 11 updates fine, so far, but you never know with Microsoft. That, though, isn't a Comodo issue, it's Windows, thus a Microsoft issue. They can trash a system that's never had Comodo Firewall on it, and they have.
I've seen that as well, we all have. Without using your system like others do though, you are unable to understand what they could be facing with applications. Its all I have been trying to convey, that novice to average users that use default deny software could have very troubling issues running software they will not understand. Its really that simple. Its not a knock to the software or users of the software even though they all take offense immediately. Its just responsible to warn other less experienced users that read here that these limitations exist when they are uninformed and inexperienced. I wish I had a dollar for every time I have seen a user come to this forum since 2011 and state I read here a guide, and set up software now I having issues with my system, been infected, or crashed my computer. So asking a user when they want to know something unbiased about a software, are you comfortable and knowledgeable enough to handle it and then explaining why a default deny can cause issue is not bashing anyone or anything, its only helping users be informed.
That was good to see with the weakest Restriction level enabled. I tried "Restricted" level but it essentially crippled Firefox.
I see your point. However, with Comodo, the less tinkering the better. Enable Proactive Defense, make a couple of other things, and forget it. It's that some people just can't leave things alone. There is no need for further configuration beyond Proactive. I've seen, and i know you have, long threads about configuring Comodo, and then a new thread pops up where half the people in the other thread are slamming it because they screwed something up with their incessant tinkering. The less done, the better.
I use Firefox in containment. I have since moving to the new release. No problems whatever. In fact, it seems just a teeny bit faster in containment than outside on this machine. There's no need to use containment. The firewall covers you without.@tofargone
as an experiment I just ran Firefox browser in Virtual containment with only the weakest "Partially limited" Restriction level. I could surf to a few sites without issues, including playing Youtube videos and a video from a popular sports website. I tried to downloaded Crap cleaner free download from the official website (it is safe of course), and although it showed to successfully download to my Downloads folder, it did not touch the directory

You literally just described your own post you attempted to point at me. It's this nonsense that cause all the fights and arguments here. There is no part of what I described that is not accurate, perceived wrong maybe or not understood, but as far as inaccurate, yeah nope it's not.
It's fine, just happen that man can't accept what software and configuration are. He will blame something without providing why he is right, won't even tell you how to reproduce the "so evil computer mega crash you'll have" and above that, won't be able to just accept that CIS may have just improved a bit and just got into regular AV usability. Other AVs ain't bulleproof, they may have less options or be less user interactive but they are still software and can produce many issues including severe ones. That's not something that is exclusive to CIS, and the man playing the 5 years old won't be able to get it.
