Ok, hum... to add protection to that shared folder in Your KTS from Your system, as you can imagine, would only protect the folder from possible suspicious access from your system with KTS, but not from any other device on your real premises or from an external attack.

I'm fine with that So what can this Protected Folder stuff do? If I do it like you did in the OP, will it block all programs other than me (as in me manually going in there and changing files, creating, saving etc) from accessing it?

WHat if it's High Restricted? Low Restricted?

High Restricted is more restrict than Low Restricted, and then is Untrusted, the higher level.

I know but will High Restricted by default be able to "mess up" (write to, I guess, if it's malware) to the Protected Folders?

Nothing is guaranteed in software and computers, if the information is that sensitive I suggest either back ups of it offline or offline storage period.

Yes I do have those, always have at least 3 offline backups plus 1 Macrium Reflect which is encrypted and cannot be modified due to Image Guardian
