Looks good,

Run Eset NOD32 Online AntiVirus

Note: You will need to use Internet Explorer for this scan.
Vista / 7 users: You will need to to right-click on the Internet Explorer icon and select Run as Administrator
  • Tick the box next to YES, I accept the Terms of Use.
  • Click Start
  • When asked, allow the activex control to install
  • Disable your current antivirus software. You can usually do this with its Notfication Tray icon near the clock.
  • Click Start
  • Make sure that the option "Remove found threats" is Un-checked, and the following Advance Settings are Checked
    • Scan unwanted applications
    • Scan for potentially unsafe applications
    • Enable Anti-Stealth Technology
  • Click Scan
  • Wait for the scan to finish
  • Re-enable your antivirus software.
  • A logfile is created and located at C:\Program Files\EsetOnlineScanner\log.txt. Please include this on your post.

I did however notice a file called offline web pages/ when i opened it w explore it was empty but the properties say there is bytes of info in it.. now the only reason i question it, is the date it was modifired and that is 11/17/12 one of the days I know my son clicked on malware. Do u think its ok? or is there a way to scan that file on the site Jack left above that u gave me before??

That file won't do you harm, just delete it if you can. If you want to scan it, you can upload it to the site Jack gave you. How are things running on your PC?

Are the 2 driver names the same? Can you post a screen shot of the device manager and the 2 imaging devices?

Let's give this a try:

Download Windows Repair (all in one) from this site

Install the program then run it.

Go to step 3 and allow it to run SFC by clicking Do It. Wait until it finishes before moving to the next step.

Go to start repairs tab, select advanced mode and click start.

Note: If it prompts you to make a system restore point and backup your registries, allow it to do so.

Check all the boxes on the list

Check the box besides Restart System When Finished then click Start

It won't erase your programs, but in that case uncheck:

Set windows services to default
remove policies set by infection

Did you do the system file check in step 3?

Ok, I assume sfc finished the scan.

Please goto step 4 and create a restore point and registry backup then goto Start Repairs. Check the boxes and Restart System When Finished and go ahead and press start.
