SecureAPlus version 4.3.1 is out now

What’s new:

• Software update can be controlled by SecureAge Management Server.
• Improve accessibility when navigating scan result (especially for blind and visually impaired people, tested with NVDA screen reader)

Bugs Fixed:

• Prevent BSOD when doing real-time scanning in Windows XP.
• “Initial Application Whitelisting” when make into 2 lines was cut off as “Initial Application Whitelisti ng”.
• USB removable storage device is set to “Do not scan”, when a USB device inserted it prompts to select files instead.
• Fixed cut off text for Polish translation.
• “Delete” word in manual scanner button was cut off in German language.

Modifications:

• Optimize real-time scanner.
• Updated traditional and simplified Chinese translation.
• Updated Polish translation.
• Updated Vietnamese translation.
• No longer prompting user for the temporary .ps file created by powershell in Windows 10.
• If managed by SMS, in SecureAPlusUI.exe add “Managed by SecureAge Management Server”.
• Change unblock color to green, and block color to red (refer to: https://secureaplusforum.secureage.com/index.php?topic=287.msg813).
• Retain driver resource information for debugging purpose.
• Updated Russian translation.
• When USB removable media detected for the first time, prompt for whether to scan it first before asking the permission to upload all type of sample file. Previously the sequence was the other way around.
• Online installer no longer showing download progress bar in silent mode.

We have just released SecureAPlus v4.3.2.

There are a few bugs fixed in this version.

In this version we also added a new feature to unhide files that are made hidden by malware in the USB flash drive.
This will done automatically when user is doing manual scanning on a USB flash drive (right-click > scan, from Windows File Explorer context menu).

Hi all

SecureAPlus version 4.3.2 is out now

What’s new:

• Unhide files in USB Flash drive that are hidden by virus.
• Shows number of Universal AV unkown files in the manual scanner.
• Added Windows Media Player and Thunderbird into restricted application list.

Bugs Fixed:

• For SecureAPlus managed by SecureAge Management Server (SMS), some temporary files were not deleted.
• When multiple items are selected, “Show all trust level” only shows one of them.
• Crash in sanotifier when checking with VirusTotal.
• Fixed bug in counting the number of remaining files in the real-time immediate scanning, that caused the manual scanner keep scanning.
• Manual scanner did not wait long enough until UAV immediate scanning finish.
• UAV scan result dialog crash when user click on “Ignore Permanently”. This bug started in v4.3.1 due to the changes to support screen reader for accessibility.
• Some text were cut off in the software expired notification dialog.
• Rescan with UAV does not work if Upload any type of file was unticked.
• In the manual scanner, the error message will be cut off if the file name is too long.
• Typo: qbittorent.exe changed to: qbittorrent.exe
• Cut off “Quarantine” text in Polish translation, in Universal AV scan result dialog.
• Application Whitelisting driver was not deleted after uninstallation.

Modifications:

• Updated translation: Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Indonesian, Polish, Vietnamese, Russian.
• Change “Show all trust level” to “Manage Whitelist” (in the context menu)
• Resize OK button in Whitelist Manager dialog, because in the previous version the word was cut off.
• Retain trust level when a trusted installer overwrites a file.
• Shows “Application Whitelisting driver is not running!” if the driver is not running when SecureAPlus needs to do initial whitelisting.
• If the server was not able to completely rescan the files, but none of the engine detects any virus, shows “Scan incomplete. No threats were detected.”
• Click on “Go to Log Location”, opens 2 folders (log folder in the common application data, and log folder in the user’s application data). Previously it only opens common application data folder.
• When File Index service is not ready, set the maximum waiting to 30 minutes. If it is still not ready within 30 minutes, just proceed to interpreting the scan result.
• If File index service is not ready within 30 minutes, refresh the database on the next reboot.
• Modify some UI layout for Russian translation. Previously some Russian text was cut off.

With SecureAPlus running, the Steam client takes a long time to appear (not run, just open the main window). It also takes a lot of time to launch a game which is very annoying.

The strange part is that everything was fine until a couple of days ago. This is also the second time that this has happened.

We were having problem with our server. Our engineer has been working to solved this. We apologized for the inconvenience caused.

We are pleased to announce the release of SecureAPlus version 4.3.3.

In this version we are introducing new features that may be useful for enterprise customers.
There are 2 new features to highlight:
1. Pre-approve whitelist. The administrator can pre-approve an application through SecureAPlus portal.
2. Non-trusted users can request for whitelist approval when the application that the user want to run get blocked.

Some other modifications and bugs fixed:

- Premium Trial button appears even for Premium user (this bug started from v4.3.2).

- Manual scanner dialog is too big for 1024x768 screen resolution.
- SecureAPluService.exe crashes in Windows 7 SP1 32-bit, while updating Windows Security Center after boot-up.

- Change "Go to log location" to "Go to log locations".
- Set Universal AV scheduled scanning to 24 hours.

  – Clicking on VirusTotal detection ratio will open VirusTotal link at the browser.
  
  
• Japanese translation for online SecureAPlus installer (small installer).
• Set higher compression for the installer to make the installer file smaller.
• Non-trusted user account can request for whitelist approval when the application is blocked. This feature is only for premium users.
• Show dialog for the application that is supposed to be blocked, but not blocked because SecureAPlus is in the Observation Mode.
• Show dialog for application that is blocked in Lockdown mode.

Bugs Fixed:

• Do not delete the temporary file from UAV server if there is an error.
• Change “Go to log location” to “Go to log locations”.
• Resize finish installation dialog because the Russian text does not fit.
• Resize Universal AV threats detected dialog. In the previous version the text was truncated in Russian language.
• Dedicated support and home page link for Japanese version.
• Set Universal AV scheduled scanning to 24 hours.
