A small update with fixes for some recent regressions, including a fix for proprietary media for Windows 32-bit users without hardware acceleration.

I just wanted to add a small note on our terminology as I have seen some confusion in the comments previously. A regression is something that we had working previously and the behavior has "regressed" to a non-working state.

As always, thanks for all the testing and feedback. We're progressing in the right direction for a great 1.5 stable release!

Today we've added initial support for editing bookmarks without the need for using the bookmark editor! You can also edit note titles using the same approach.

Like the bookmarks bar, you can now edit a bookmark's title directly in both the panel and manager. Select the bookmark in question and press "F2" ("Enter" in future macOS builds), then type your new title.

This feature can also be used in Notes, meaning you can now give your notes unique titles, seperate from their contents.

We're happy to hear that you’re enjoying the daily builds, so here is another! Our focus is on cleaning up and fix the issues that you have reported for 1.5.

If you are aware of bugs that have appeared since 1.4 stable (regressions) and would like to remind us of them, please feel free to do so below.

In other news, we will launch Vivaldi's great new forum on Friday 4th November. We're really proud to serve the community with a newer forum platform that will contain loads of improvements. In order to have a smooth transfer, we need to shut down vivaldi.net Thursday 3rd November at 9pm UTC until Friday 4th November 2am UTC. We thank you in advance for your patience. :)

We have fixed a couple of nasty regressions you reported related to the Linux clipboard and have continued to polish bookmarks, notes and tab dragging.

Keep the reports of regressions since 1.4 coming!

We are issuing a new 1.5 release candidate, after fixing a couple of serious issues with moving (via the context menu) or dropping tabs between windows. We have also updated various translations.

Note: This build will receive updates from the snapshot autoupdate stream. Even if no further issues are fixed, Vivaldi will be rebuilt for the stable autoupdate stream, resulting in a further version number change.

Our third 1.5 release candidate resolves some issues with IME and themes, and includes a further fix to dropping tabs between windows.

Note: This build will receive updates from the snapshot autoupdate stream. Even if there are no additional changes, Vivaldi will be rebuilt for the stable autoupdate stream, resulting in another version number change.
