I just scanned the latest version at VirusTotal. It's detected by five scanners, but none of them detect it as being malicious. So it can be trusted.This tool got 9/10 detection on VT.
It uninstalls AVs, so obviously it is marked as unsafe, the same way Defender disablers are, like my script on GitHub.Mind to explain if this is safe or not?

Not much I can do besides report the false positives when they happen.@AlexCa fyi Checkpoint Harmony ran an automatic scan on my win10, and it did NOT like Antivirus Removal Tool on my SSD and automatically Quarantined it with no chance for me to interact -- AVRT was not even running, but gee not sure which version (sorry but not sure which version was on SSD).
