He is using old marketing tactics used and abused by Symantec, McAfee and others (15 years ago) such as adding a year of release to the product. Much like they did, he should release Comodo in September, around the back-to-school period and product released 2023 should carry 2024 in the name.

When it is released, I will challenge @Trident to use only Comodo, nothing else, for a month.

I've dropped them. I only like the containment. Harmony all the way. I've objected to so many of their verdicts. Remember that "clean" stealer.

But with Windows 10 or 11, I would go with no more than MS defender with Andy ful's H_C maybe combined with OSArmor paid, the latter probably not required with a common sense pilot at the helm. Since using linux for several months full time, Windows is becoming a distant and futile memory for me now. Just trying to hang on so as not to completely forget about it.

Comodo IS a strong security product. It has some protection modifications that make it better than other consumer products on the market. However, users make unnecessary configuration changes to Comodo. They often customize it without understanding the features and impact, which leads to issues and frustration. The best approach for Comodo users is to remember that "Less Is More"!

A good product either works with all configurations as expected, or provides the so-called poke-yoke to the users, preventing them from entering into configurations that will compromise the security or stability of their devices, software or security services. Cheap, amateur software provides a multitude of settings and then blames bugs and instability on the users who went and modified them via the official UI. Cheap/free software like Comodo. Even with 5 Valkyries and 10 Crueltysusters onboard, Comodo will still remain what it is now. One mediocre, badly-designed freebie whose existence 9/10 don’t even know about.

But Comodo does have real and tangible issues (bugs), as I referenced in my above post. Unfortunately the developer refuses to address them.

I meant that just a few minor adjustments can strengthen Comodo's security. There are bugs in Comodo, particularly with the HIPS rules. These bugs mostly affect usability, not security. Many Comodo users highly prefer and recommend CruelCF. Comodo defaults or CruelCF users won’t encounter those bugs. Despite the bugs, Comodo remains an effective option for most users.
