If you go into program files it will probably be there, for me it did not show on the desktop, but in my program files it was there, the VPN folder and SpeedUp software bundled in the download without it asking.

Before that I had installed the normal version downloaded from the Avira website - and this one contained all the add-ons. It even took longer to run

Yes, you're right, the tools are in the antivirus program options, I thought you said something else.

Here in my VM is still the version 1.1.68.

And it still doesn't have the scan function in the context menu.
