It appears to be based on Eset, if not a rebrand.
It's K7, with a new and improved UI, although it started out as just a rebrand. I like the new UI a lot and prefer it to K7's UI which has not been updated for a long time.

I would like to see windows defaults tested.

Although I want to see it as realistic as possible.

Start by downloading samples from a file sharing site one sample at a time. If it hits the desktop then execute it upon the system as a normal person would an application. This would mimic downloads users would prompt from the web/email and run the full gauntlet of the security.

Feel free to do this with other products as well testing their bolstered pre execution protection as well as post execution.

@roger_m not sure why the page specifically mentions that Eset must be uninstalled, as they are 2 different products… makes it sound like Pro32 is a rebrand of Eset. They’ve also copied the UI to an extent but then it’s powered by K7. The page and the product look rather professionally designed.

They originally sold ESET products.

Can you please Re-Test ESET Smart Security Premium. I been running a lot of tests of my own and I am seeing a lot of activity/Notifications from the ESET Live Guard and Suspicious Application Module. Note: Only Certain applications versions include ESET Live Guard -(NOD-32 Antivirus version does not)

@Shadowra

I don't know the list ahead for the return from vacation, but can you try the 2024 model PCmatic? The new interface seems pretty good. Also, I think a trial version is impossible. If anyone has managed to obtain something like a trial version, can they let me know?

I stopped using Eset the moment they decided to keep LiveGuard for Premium users only. I hate this approach.

Edit

Now there is a new trend in the industry. Almost every vendor launched a new product line that introduces what normal users do not need. A VPN, an optimisation utility and other bloatware. I understand that competition is even harder now due to the fact that MD has evolved so they need to offer sth new to convince users to buy their products.

Personally I prefer the approach of products like Emsisoft. They offer one product, a bloat-free one.

It'd be great if all vendors allow users to at least choose what components to insfall, but unfortunately this is not the case.
