If the third-party product has Firewall then Defender process doesn't remain active according to Emsisoft support. ESET Essential means ESET Internet Security which has firewall so not sure what happened there. I'm using the Premium version and have no active Defender process.I tried ESET Essential on Windows 11 24H2. Windows Security reports ESET is in use, but Task Manager shows Defender processes active. Do Defender processes run even if you have a third-party antivirus?
